Movement

Many thought there would never be a new world champ but this week the world was rocked by the combined effort of 3 karters which finally took down #2 Sascha Brauninger. As you probably guessed it, #1 Thomas Bolton started his terrific return to mkds TT's by taking the title of mkds World Champion for a third time, in both non-prb and prb charts. Thomas really went the extra mile moving up two places to take the #1 spot with an AF cut of 0.8906 and ARR cut of 0.5156. Thomas is the first to go sub 1.0000 in ARR and is the closest to the overall God rank with 49 God times at 0.6406 Myth A. So what are all these new times???

First up is Thomas currently holding 19 WR's and 23 non-prb records. We are all familiar with #7 Ben Stoneman's effort last month on DKP which earned him the WR's there but once again Thomas takes them back with 1'46"551 and 34"808. Thomas did not stop there though, he also took down a bunch of Sascha's WR's with new CCB times of 1'24"545 and 27"678 and new CI2 3lap and CM flap of 46"339 and 35"363. Amongst other times to fall, the 1'40 barrier on SR and the 1'09 barrier on SG were broken by Thomas with 1'39"843 and 1'08"990, both are Gods. Just when you thought that was enough, he also added some more non-prb records to his name with MC1 3lap and flap, SG flap and DP1 flap with 41"767, 13"199, 21"688 and 17"827, yea he used Wario on the 3lap, lol. Greatest of all is that Thomas actually beat Sascha's longstanding LC2 flap of 25"673 with 25"669. Check the G-TB14 topic for even more videos of Thomas' new records!!!

Next up is #3 Giulio Centrone who currently holds 10 WR's and 14 non-prb records. Being one of the short tracks, you don't usually expect large cuts from MMF but Giulio took more than a tenth off #9 Paul Gourdon's 20"691 from February of this year with 20"588. The WR madness continues with new BB times of 1'46"090 and 34"843. Giulio also reclaimed the TTC flap with 30"335 and LM 3lap with
1'33"132, the first God time here!!! Giulio holds onto his #3 spot and really did not change much in AF, he is very close to overall Myth A at 1.6094 Myth B.

Finally, #4 Fabien Da Silva who currently holds 18 WR's and 9 non-prb records. Once again Fabien focused on the prb tracks. Not too long ago Sascha beat the MC1 records but lo and behold, Fabien triumphs and improves the PC WR's as well with 38"445, 12"602, 51"806 and 17"082. Fabien also improved his LC2 flap with 24"799. Fabien also attacked YC and gained the 3lap WR with 1'26"565. Just like Thomas and Giulio, Fabien also hit a lot of incredible non-prb times and was able to take the F8C flap record with 24"503!!! Fabien also got 41"923 and 13"213 on MC1, 34"910 on BB flap and 1'09"250 on SG 3lap. Fabien as usual keeps floating around an AF between 4 and 5 but was able to reach a new standard becoming overall Myth B this week at 2.3438.

Now that the top 5 madness is over how did everyone else do this week? #6 Timur Ahmad got some nice times getting him closer to #5 Nick Welch. Continuing last weeks effort, #8 Josh Griffin was able to pass Paul this week and is not too far from passing Ben either. Josh has about a 2 point AF lead on #3 USA Kevin McAteer and could soon be the second Myth player from the USA with an ARR of 5.7188 Titan A. #16 Kevin Barbieux moved up 3 places this week including some great times like BP flap 8"226 God and KB2 flap 13"395 God.

Farther down we see some similar movement from last week with #28 James Leare hitting some new times, #32 Christian Martin Lapeira getting closer to the top 30 with a 1.0938 AF cut, #33 Stacy Needham moved up one place and reached Titan E status with 10.4531 ARR and #38 Nicolas Barco also moved up one place but is still stuck at Hero A with 10.5625 ARR. Not to be left out, #50 Marshall LeVett reached Hero B overall with 12.4844.

USA hopeful, #65 Ted Kim continues his very fast pace with a 3.5469 AF cut and sub 14 in ARR this week. Not too far behind, #69 Matthew Ord made it to Hero D this week. Finnish champ #78 Jukka Harju was active again and got some new pr's on his way to the Hero ranks with an ARR of 15.7500 Expert A. #81 Michele Magnaterra was also active again moving up 3 spots this week and fell just one standard improvement short of Hero E at an ARR of exactly 15.5000 Expert A. #87 Abel Marques also had another good week with an AF cut of 4.0468 and reached Hero status at an ARR of 15.2031 Hero E. Closing up the top 100 and joining it was #97 Julien Confetti moving up 9 places in the ranks with a massive amount of pr's, well done!!!

Movement outside the top 100 included #108 Stefano Piazza -0.3910 (#7 Italy), #111 Pierre Signamarcheix -3.7340 (#17 France), #127 Rene Faucheur -3.2340 (#18 France), #135 Andy Choi -2.0160 (#2 Hong Kong), #147 Matthieu Van Reet -5.1100 (#4 Belgium, Advanced A to Expert E), #197 Jacob McMillin -9.9840 (#58 USA and joins the top 200), #199 Timothee Le Borgne -3.4220 (#35 France and joins the top 200), #233 Arnaud Schorr -15.2190 (#38 France, Advanced E to Advanced D), #246 Jacob Hahn -17.9530 (#83 USA), #262 Boy de Wit -2.1090 (#21 Netherlands), #301 Domenick McEnery -14.4380 (#102 USA, Intermediate C to Intermediate B), #333 Chris Wodarski -20.0160 (#116 USA, Intermediate D to Intermediate C), #342 Ryan Gillett -69.5150 (#122 USA, Beginner A to Intermediate C) and #426 Caleb McMillin -15.9850 (#156 USA, Beginner D to Beginner B).

New Records

There were 19 WR's improved this week (blue) and 19 non-prb times (pink).

And once the champ again, Thomas Bolton got 7 of the 19 new WR's. First are the new CCB 3lap and flap of 1'24"545 and 26"678 which narrowly escape Sascha Brauninger's times there. Probably my favorite time from this week was the sub 1'40 on SR with 1'39"843, I was just happy to see this barrier fall finally. Thomas reclaimed the DKP WR's with 1'46"551 and 34"808 just beating out Ben Stoneman's times from April. Thomas' last two WR's were the CM flap 35"363 and CI2 3lap 46"339. Next is Fabien Da Silva claiming 6 of the 19 new WR's. Fabien took back the MC1 times with 38"445 and 12"602 beating Sascha by very small margins here!!! Fabien improved his PC WR's with 51"806 and 17"082 and LC2 flap with 24"799. Lastly, Fabien got some killer times on YC and was able to beat Sascha's 3lap with 1'26"565. The fun is not over yet, Giulio Centrone got 5 of the 19 new WR's. Giulio not only regained the LM 3lap record but also got the first God time there with 1'33"132. Giulio was also able to beat out Sascha's TTC flap by also subbing 30"400 with a new WR of 30"335. Giulio beat out Paul's MMF flap with 20"588 and took the BB WR's with 1'46"090 and 34"843. Wait a second, 7+6+5 does not equal 19 so who got that last record? It was シヴァ who continued his work on WS sc and took back the flap with 37"222. He made a nice video of his WS sc flap and almost got the WS sc 3lap WR with 1'53"608.

As for non-prb, there were equally impressive times set here. Fabien continues to push the F8C flap to the limit getting 24"503!!! Fabien also got 1'26"565 on YC 3lap. Giulio busted out the LM 3lap God with 1'33"132, TTC flap 30"335, MMF flap 20"588 and BB times of 1'46"090 and 34"843. But the player setting the most records was Thomas on CCB with 1'24"545 and 27"678, SR 3lap 1'39"843, DKP 1'46"551 and 34"808, MC1 41"767 and 13"199, DP1 flap 17"827, CM flap 35"363, LC2 flap 25"669 and SG 1'08"990 and 21"668.

Awards

With the phenomenal LC2 flap, amongst many other records, he has finally reclaimed the mkds title for World Champion. For the excellent times he has set and showing us he still has what it takes to be number one, Thomas Bolton wins the POW for the fourth week of May, great job!!!

Movement

Unlike the carnage that took place last week, it was silent at the top with #1 Sascha Brauninger, #2 Giulio Centrone and #3 Thomas Bolton not changing at all in AF value staying at 2.1563, 3.0625 and 3.1094 respectively. Only #4 Fabien Da Silva and #5 Nick Welch dropped slightly back in AF due to #6 Timur Ahmad's pr's on RR this week with a 3lap of 2'00"525 and flap of 39"546, both Titan B. Timur still has some ways to go if he wants to reach the top 5 and currently has an ARR of 4.3750 Myth D. Last but not least the porksword and #2 USA, #9 Josh Griffin continues to widen the gap between himself and #10 Kevin McAteer. Josh hit a new CCB 3lap time of 1'26"831 Myth E. With an AF of 11.4688, he won't be to far from catching up to #8 Paul Gourdon with an AF of 11.0781.

Outside the top ten, #15 Nicola Gatti made a strong climb this week moving up 3 places to join the top 15 with only a 1.5000 AF cut! As you can tell, there are several players clustered at an AF of 22 (#16 Cole Gilbert, #17 Louis Vivares and #18 Adam Nelson) and then all of a sudden it jumps down to 18.7031 (#14 Michael Fried) and finally to 14.0469 (#13 Fabio Sacco). It is certainly a lot of ground to cover in this AF graveyard but Nicola was able to pass as many players as possible with that small AF cut. Sneaking back into the top 20 was #19 Kevin Barbieux who updated some of his times this week earning him Titan C status at 8.4063 and moved up 4 places in the ranks. #21 Robert Szabo sent in two times this week getting him into the top 20 briefly but managed to pass #22 Abdulaziz Alhomaid, Qatar's #1 and only one probably, to stay in the same spot as last week. With a nice ARR of 9.0000 Titan D, Robert does not have that much more ground to cover if he wants to try for the top 20 again.

The next active player was #28 James Leare who was able to pass the Dutch duo #29 Mark Engelsman and #30 Miguel Rodriguez this week. He hit some new pr's on DKP including 1'50"274 Titan C and 35"874 Titan B and got a new flap on CM with 36"887 Hero A. James is close to sub 10.0000 in ARR and remains at Titan E. Next up, #32 Christian Martin Lapeira passes #33 Sean Dyer this week with a 0.8593 AF cut. Always close behind, #34 Stacy Needham passes #35 Thomas McConville to reach #2 UK. He made a similar AF cut to Christian with 0.8750 this week. Finally, #39 Nicolas Barco submitted a few new times this week but mostly prb where he is #28. The time that stands out most is his nice SG 3lap time of 1'05"360 ranked #12.

Can you believe it, only 5 other players were active in the top 100!!! First up is #45 Chase Peleshaty who made it to #4 Canada this week. Once again, Chase falls very short of overall Hero B at 12.5312 Hero C. Some more pr's next week and he will get it for sure. The next two players appearing side by side had nearly identical AF's and AF cuts. #68 Ted Kim and #69 Matthew Ord. Both Ted and Matthew passed 7 players this week. Ted was able to launch himself straight to Hero D after reaching Hero E last week and Expert A before that! Matthew just fell short of Hero D status at 14.5625 Hero E. Great week you two, keep it up! The next and unlikely duo was #88 Abel Marques (#88 mkds) and #89 Gregor Fran (#31 mkdd). Both of them reached Expert A this week with Abel almost reaching Hero E at 15.6094 ARR. Taking a quick glance at Abel's time sheet, he's got a lot of potential to even out the rest of his times so keep up the good work! As for Gregor, it seems he is on the quest to reach all Hero times with 42/64 currently and is moving from the bottom up with only 11 Nitro Courses left to go.

Movement outside the top 100 included #108 Stefano Piazza -3.2500 (#7 Italy), #118 Pierre Signamarcheix -1.1100 (#17 France, Expert D to Expert C), #136 Andy Choi -0.0470 (#2 Hong Kong), #142 Pol Gonzalez -9.1560 (#4 Spain, Advanced A to Expert E), #152 Matthieu Van Reet -7.3890 (#5 Belgium, Advanced B to Advanced A), #195 Sebastien David -12.2500 (#33 France and joins the top 200), #201 Timothee Le Borgne -34.2340 (#35 France, Advanced D to Advanced C), #222 Kevin Liang -1.3440 (#7 Australia), #246 Arnaud Schorr -18.4370 (#40 France), #261 Kevin Rodriguez -0.1100 (#16 Germany), #266 Boy de Wit -8.6090 (#21 Netherlands, Intermediate A to Advanced E), #297 Daniel Pabst -10.8900 (#18 Germany and joins the top 300), #352 Chris Wodarski -2.0310 (#124 USA), #360 Fabien Collard -17.3750 (#46 France, Intermediate E to Intermediate D), #402 Ryan Gillett -50.5000 (#145 USA, Beginner D to Beginner A) and #405 Robin Usher -7.5940 (#2 Japan, Beginner B to Beginner A, maybe if the actual top Japanese players see Robin Usher here being #2 they will join the site, go for Japan #1 here Robin, mk64 rulz!).

New Records

No new records this week.

Awards

A rising USA player was on the march this week continuing his strong efforts earlier this month. Just after reaching Hero E from Expert A, he went straight to Hero D and made some nice jumps in the ranks. In recognition for the good progress he has been making, Ted Kim wins the POW for the 3rd week of May, great work!!!

And now Legend C!!! cool eh? ~ ETCH

Movement

#1 Sascha Brauninger was active this week for a change improving 4 WR's and hitting a bunch of new pr's. With his new times, several of which were close to being new WR's, Sascha has raised his God time total to 40 which is only one short of #3 Thomas Bolton's 41 God times. Sascha now leads in ARR with 1.0156 Myth A and improved his lead in AF with a 0.2031 AF cut this week getting him close to being under 2.0000 again. Sascha was not the only one to have a good week because #4 Fabien Da Silva with 22 God times hit some WR's of his own and continues to close the ARR and AF gap between him and Thomas. They competed on MC this week following Fabien's new WR flap there of 29"251. Fabien got the MC 3lap earlier this week with an impressive 1'30"761 but Sascha answered back the same day with 1'30"551 and 29"225. Now it was Fabien's turn so he went and got a 29"167 on the flap. Finally Sascha beat the flap again ending with a WR of 29"109. Shortly after the MC madness, Sascha regained the MC1 WR's with 38"576 and 12"607. Sascha also defeated the SG 3lap earlier this week with 1'02"273 but Fabien decided it was finally time to switch to the egg1 and got an amazing time of 1'01"573 and 20"449. In addition to WR activity, Fabien also hit some pr's this week pushing him closer to Myth B overall at 2.6875 Myth C and an AF of 4.5469. As for non-prb records, Fabien took PC under 55"400 first with 55"388 but only to have Sascha beat him out slightly with 55"363. Great work from both of you guys this week, keep it up!!!

Staying just in front of Thomas, who now has an AF of over 3 for the first time in a long time, #2 Giulio Centrone once again lowered the WS sc WR's with 1'53"567 and 37"254. Outside the top 5, #6 Timur Ahmad reached the overall Myth D standard this week with an ARR of 4.4219, great job!!! Timur's new times included RFS 3lap and flap 1'40"244 God and 32"752 God and BC2 3lap and flap 1'35"050 Titan C and 30"749 Myth E. For the rest of the top ten, we had some resurrection pr's by #9 Josh Griffin making about a 0.2000 AF cut to stay ahead of #10 Kevin McAteer and hold onto his #2 USA spot. Josh only played one course to stay ahead which was WS with 1'58"284 Titan A and 38"124 Myth A. Josh got his ARR under 6.0000 finally with 5.9531 Titan A and AF of 11.5469. With a similar performance this week Kevin also made about a 0.2000 AF cut to end up with an ARR of 6.3438 Titan A and AF of 12.7656 to solidify his top ten spot.

Like Giulio, #12 Lars Stelzig worked on the WS sc this week and managed to get a very nice flap of 37"385. He hasn't beaten his 3lap non-sc run yet with the sc so he might work on that this week. Another player working on sc times was #23 Josh Habben who managed to finally hit a SC run faster than his non-sc run of 1'57"738 with 1'57"108. The splits were not very good on the last two laps but at least the RR sc 3lap WR uses the sc now. Now in the top 30 himself, #30 James Leare had a good week with a 1.4376 AF cut and 0.2188 ARR cut. Some of his pr's included PG 3lap and flap 1'31"101 Titan D and 29"235 Titan D, LC1 3lap and flap 1'14"848 Titan C and 24"523 Titan B and AF 3lap and flap 1'48"534 Hero A and 35"499 Titan D. James is very close to passing #29 Miguel Rodriguez who is almost outside the top 30 himself now!!!

Outside the top 30, #32 Sean Dyer scored a bunch of pr's this week with a very strong 4.5312 AF cut moving him up 7 places. He is also the newest Titan ranked player making a 0.5624 ARR cut this week at 10.3438 Titan E. #33 Christian Martin Lapeira also reached Titan status with a 0.2031 ARR cut this week at 10.4375 Titan E. Moving up one place this week, #35 Stacy Needham is sure to follow coming close to the Titan rank this week with an ARR of 10.6406 Hero A. Some pr's from #5 France this week, #39 Nicolas Barco moved him up to the top 40 and also close to an overall Titan rank at 10.6562 Hero A.

Finishing off the activity in the top 50 includes #46 Chase Peleshaty and now in the top 50 #50 Marshall LeVett. Chase had the stronger week with an AF cut of 2.2031 and ARR cut of 0.2656 ARR. Both of them are ranked Hero C but are close to Hero B each having an ARR of about 12.6000. Chase is now #5 Canada and is very close to #4 if he hits some more pr's this week. Marshall is almost in the top ten USA with less than 2 AF points to climb to get there.

For the rest of the top 100, #75 Ted Kim -4.5469 (#19 USA, Expert A to Hero E), #76 Matthew Ord -2.0625 (#7 UK), #78 Jukka Harju -2.4687 (#1 Finland), #85 Marijn Sax -1.4063 (#6 Netherlands) and #93 Abel Marques -6.3600 (#8 UK, Expert B to Expert A).

Movement outside the top 100 included #106 Julien Confetti -3.5310 (#3 Belgium, Expert C to Expert B), #112 Stefano Piazza -2.1250 (#7 Itlay), #136 Andy Choi -7.1560 (#2 Hong Kong, Expert E to Expert D), #145 Frances Penfold -1.6250 (#44 USA), #150 Pol Gonzalez -4.8130 (#4 Spain), #205 Jacob McMillin -47.6090 (#62 USA, Advanced E to Advanced C), #223 Kevin Liang -11.8910 (#7 Australia), #239 Timothee Le Borgne -6.8120 (#39 France, Advanced E to Advanced D), #264 Arnaud Schorr -37.5790 (#41 France, Intermediate B to Advanced E), #271 Boy de Wit -2.4220 (#21 Netherlands), #293 Brian Smith -1.7660 (#99 USA) and #354 Chris Wodarski -33.8130 (#124 USA, Intermediate E to Intermediate D).

New Records

There were 9 WR's improved this week (blue) and one non-prb time (pink).

Sascha Brauninger was the man this week claiming 4 of the 9 new WR's. All of Sascha's new WR's were on MC and MC1. After the epic battle with Fabien Da Silva this week Sascha finished with a MC 3lap of 1'30"551 and MC flap of 29"109. Just when you thought the MC1 times were already insane, Sascha defied all odds and took the flap down by more than a tenth of a second with 12"607. Sascha also reclaimed the MC1 3lap with 38"576. Fabien answered back nicely this week to Sascha's pr rampage by defending his SG WR's with an unthinkable 1'01"573 and 20"449!!! Once again, some of the sc WR's were improved this week but with シヴァ on the WS sc 3lap with 1'54"449. Giulio Centrone quickly beat it back with 1'53"567 and improved the WS sc flap to 37"254. Finally, Josh Habben completed a sc run on RR faster than the current non-sc 3lap WR getting a 1'57"108.

As for non-prb, Fabien at first claimed the PC 3lap record with 55"388 but Sascha was victorious with a time of 55"363.

Awards

Once in awhile a top player will really go on a PR rampage to reclaim several WR's and add several God times to their toal. For his strong week at the top and further strengthening his #1 spot, Sascha Brauninger wins the POW for the second week of May, great job!!!

Movement

#2 Giulio Centrone managed to grab a few WR's this week but it was not only non-prb that got his attention. For awhile, the WS sc has been been tried by a few players but to their avail were not able to beat the non-sc WR's. Giulio stepped up to the plate and made this sc the 2nd official shortcut in the game by smashing the non-sc times with
1'54"519 and 37"381 earlier this week. The only other track which offers a shortcut/glitch which allows for a faster time is RR. Although Giulio played some prb, he stayed true to the non-prb charts by racing 3 new times. Giulio played WS non-sc and was able to get the 3lap God standard with 1'55"927 which is not too far from the WR holder #3 Thomas Bolton at 1'55"818. Giulio also holds the new site record for WS non-sc flap at 37"761. Lastly, Giulio beat his DS 3lap again this week with 1'31"562, polt FTW.

Giulio was not the only active player in the top 5 this week. With a Switzerland Title in his reach, #4 Fabien Da Silva begins his march to a #3 spot nicely this week with a 0.5313 AF cut and sub 3.0000 in ARR at 2.9375 Myth C. Fabien improved a bunch of times including DH flap 22"636 Myth C, DS 3lap and flap 1'32"497 Myth E and 29"666 Myth C, SR 3lap 1'41"243 Myth D and DP1 3lap 56"466 Myth E. Fabien also hit some WR's this week by crushing the FS times with 1'39"032 and 32"360. In the prb department, Fabien managed to squeak by #1 Sascha Brauninger's prb flap on MC set back in late February with 29"251!!! With 17 total WR's, Fabien is 2nd only to Sascha who holds 19 WR's. Keep up the great work Fabien and Giulio!!!

Outside the top 5, #6 Timur Ahmad was active again with some new times this week including DH 3lap 1'12"988 Myth E, TTC 3lap and flap 1'35"621 Titan B and 30"646 Myth B, LM 3lap 1'35"285 Titan B and CCB 3lap 1'26"912 Myth E. With an ARR of 4.5625 Myth E, Timur is just shy of that Myth D overall. Moving up one place from last week and now in the top ten, #10 Kevin McAteer finally made it and was able to get there with some of the nice times he hit this week. Some of his times included FS 3lap and flap 1'40"479 Myth A and 32"599 God, MC 3lap and flap 1'32"815 Titan B and 29"970 Titan B and PC 3lap and flap 56"409 Titan A and 18"161 Myth E. In addition to making the top ten he finally made it to that Titan A overall standard with 6.4375 ARR, way to go!!!

Once again, little activity in the top 20 besides those 4 players this week. As for those near the top 20, they got their share of pr's and are not that far from the top 20 themselves. #21 Robert Szabo was much laid back this week only playing WS while #22 Kevin Barbieux updated some times after a month from his last pr submission. Kevin moved up two places from last week and also made some nice times including BC2 flap 30"799 Myth E, FS 3lap and flap 1'41"964 Titan B and 33"133 Myth E, and a WS sc flap of 37"764. In addition to WS non-sc, Robert also got some WS sc times. Robert got 1'58"721 Titan B and 38"641 Myth E for non-sc and 1'56"435 and 38"102 for sc. His WS sc times makes them his only national records he had since the various times he held back in 2006. Robert and Kevin are also right next to each other on the prb chart at #16 and #17 respectively. Not to be left out, the RR sc discoverer, #23 Josh Habben once again attempted some sc runs on RR but was only able to defeat his flap with a very nice time of 36"386.
