My MKDD!! regret:( plus some thoughts

I realised a few months ago, I've worked very hard at MKDD!! Time Trials and never thought about keeping track of my overall play timeSad I only realised this a few months ago. By this stage I had been SERIOUSLY Time Trialing on and off for 17yearsSmiley

I have 32 50Hz PRs and 32 60Hz PRs I've worked very hard on. My 50Hz PRs have received more attention in the last 6months or so as they are quite stronger for two reasons, firstly 50Hz has the advantage and secondly, I prioritised my 50Hz efforts more than my 60Hz efforts in the past 6 or so months. I still want to compete in 60Hz.

Side note, while I justify 50Hz submissions, they are beginning to feel cheap to me now I've reflected on the forum's debate about 50Hz. Mainly Europe and Australia can access 50Hz so it is unfair in combined comp because 'All Karts Combined' has an advantage for 50Hz competitors but it's not a big deal. There's not much difference. Many videogames have version differences it cannot be helped.

The MK World Records website, I feel should ONLY list 60Hz World Records but on MKDD!!PP I feel it's already fair as there are separate categories. The other reason I feel 50Hz PRs are cheap is because I have an unfair advantage in All Karts Combined but unfortunately, many games have version differences.

To anyone who criticises me for starting out in 50Hz, years ago it was just a TV setting. I am a noob with technology. I had to experience it myself and read on the forums and this site's documents to learn 50Hz drives you better PRs, I didn't know. Many people won't care I play 50Hz because I am ranked #302 and won't get much better than that but to the few people who might criticise me, I didn't know for many years, I had any advantage.

Really unless you are competing for World Records or All Karts Combined, I really don't understand the fuss about the combined Hz. Really, I don't. There's 50Hz only mode, 60Hz only mode for completely fair competition omitting the fact there's stupid people submitting fake PRs amongst real competitors with real PRs but all competitions have cheaters unfortunatelySad the way this MKPP is set up is AWESOMESmiley The AnyHz charts are reasonable because you CAN IGNORE them if you hate 50Hz so bad.

The only faults are MK WR site listing 50Hz records and 'possibly' All Karts Combined' accepting 50Hz AF.

Back to my regret, I wish I kept a record of how many hours I played since 25/Dec/04 when I got my first copy of MKDD!! for Christmas. I would have very easily spent 10hours on all my 64 PRs individually, (32 50Hz and 32 60Hz). This alone is an impressive 640hours worth of effort over the yearsSmiley

I spent A LOT more than 10hours per PR so we're talking, thousands of hoursSmiley very proud of my effortSmiley i just wish I kept a record of my play hours but only thought of this a few months agoSad
