I don't see a thread for PR videos here so I decided to post this in a new thread.
For those who don't know me, I'm Nicholas Harvey, currently active only in SMK but I have tried my hand at time-trialing all of the Mario Kart series, as you can see in my signature at the bottom of this post. This includes Mario Kart Wii, which I haven't been active in since 2011 (and I currently don't even own the game). Naturally,
my timeset hasn't aged well, and is clearly a product of its time-- certainly many new strats and shortcuts have been found in the last 9 years. It's hard to believe but at one time, I had many 3laps in the top 200, and flaps in the top 100! The MKW community has grown so much and has really left me behind.
Which brings me to the reason why I make this post. I was going through old VHS tapes this evening, looking for a Christmas movie to watch next week, and I happened upon a tape that had several of my old MKW replays on it. Most of the runs recorded on this tape were since improved (I checked the times against my timesheet), but three of them remain my current PRs, nearly a decade later. So I decided to use my 3DS camera to record the replays off my TV, and then upload the videos to YouTube.
So here is video proof of three of my 11-year-old PRs! (all of these runs are from late 2009)

I know my times probably aren't considered very good today, but I think they'd make good benchmarks for newcomers to MKW.
Earlier this year, at a SMK event, I gave the user
Joe Reinreb a memory card that contained my MKDD save data and most of my ghosts, so maybe get with him if you are interested in seeing some form of proof of my MKDD runs from the summer of 2009.
