None of the other games have any sort of widespread issue, and if anything, we should be doing it best considering we´re the only game afaik with an almost foolproof anticheat system. There's no reason why we shouldn't have a zero tolerance system in place.

Or at least for times at top 100 or 200 or something. Some of Victors times on the timesheet doesn’t have any video or ghost yet it was once counted as legit for some reason.

Yeah there are multiple problems that I have with the rule set. Why the heck does the rule set have if you use illegitimate forms of gameplay, you are permanently banned. But times are being counted from banned players like Jorge because they are performed on CTGP. I know that those players aren’t on the players page but they are on Mario kart leaderboards and mkwrs.com. They should decide on either, having players need to play on CTGP regardless if they cheated or faked times. Or have banned players not being allowed to submit times regardless if they are on CTGP or legit.

I'm pretty sure that's what they said.

To be honest I was not much of a fan of the idea to permanently ban cheaters here, but I think that for the type of site people want to have, that it's probably for the best.

The Players' Page and sites like MKLeaderboards serve different purposes. MKLeaderboards and mkwrs.com aim to have the best times which we can be sure are legit, but the Players' Page aims to have a place for honest competition between players of all skill levels. A site which thrives on competition absolutely cannot have any cheating going on, and having former cheaters on the rankings sends a message that if you cheat, it's ok because you'll be forgiven.

I'm not 100% sure what the webmasters of MKLeaderboards think of their site, but to me it never felt like it was trying to become another site for competition similar to the PP. Over there, a greater emphasis is placed on the times themselves than on the players.

The PP focuses more on the players, and MKLB/mkwrs.com focus more on the times. To me, the lack of consistency between what players/times they allow is acceptable because both sites have different goals in mind.
