It's been over 4 years since the Rainbow Road glitch was discovered and yet, nobody has managed to pull it off in a legitimate run as of today. Together with Amaya, I though of an idea to create a little bit of extra incentive for people to endure the grind for the holy grail of MKW glitches.

We started a bounty that will be given to the person who first pulls off this glitch successfully. This bounty will start off with money from Amaya and me, but anyone who wants to see this happen will be able, and encouraged, to chip in what they want to make that moment just a bit more worth it for the person to first make the glitch. Reply to this thread or PM me on discord (Arvo#6376) if you want to chip in whatever you can.

The money will be given out from the people individually with whichever method we can figure out (PayPal would probably be the easiest) or if someone has a better idea, please let us know. I don't know what I'm doing.

Due to money being involved, we will be enforcing strict CTGP-only policy for this challenge. No exceptions, the run must be set on CTGP and be uploaded to the CTGP ghost database. If you break the CTGP anti-cheat to try to win this bounty, you are a very sad individual and will be thoroughly roasted by the community and not given the bounty.  

The run does not have to beat the 3lap WR to receive this bounty, but there will be a bonus if the player who first makes the glitch also beats the 3lap WR with the run in question.

The only thing you must do to claim the main bounty is to be the first person to complete a lap with the glitch that beats the flap WR (currently a 46.968). The run must be driven on CTGP with game modifications disabled and the ghost must be directly uploaded to the CTGP ghost database.

If a person is in a financial situation to be unable to donate their listed amount straight away if/when someone pulls the glitch off, they should not be shamed for this. This is all done in good faith. (Assuming we don't find a way to put all of the money to one place with nobody being able to steal it  )

I would chip in a bit if I could, but I don’t have a credit card or anything.

Some encouragement: I’m ranked 286th on MK7 players page, but I was the first American to get 3/3 rDC G and finish the course in under a minute. If I can do that with my poor skills, the RR glitch can be done.

$40 from me if anyone makes it, regardless if it's in a run or not.

Just wondering: has anyone tried the sneakster? Much lighter than the spear and only slightly less speed.

Edit: Sticking with the theme of making them feel better, if the run performed with pause buffered then since they likely wont win this bounty or count to any official rankings, I'll still throw in €5

I'll rep my fellow casuals and give $20 for flap with glitch.

Expecting 20+ people to remember/return to the community/actually pay up months (or several years) from now, should the glitch actually be done, seems a bit clumsy. It'd probably make more sense for one trusted, central party to collect all the money upfront until then. Someone like Troy, NMeade, or Sword that will likely still be active and stands to lose a lot should they run away with it (not saying they would, just in theory).

I feel bad for all the veterans/noobs alike that are about to try aimlessly grinding this deceptively difficult glitch now

While I won't deny this is a cool idea, I rather see a transfer of money go to players who are currently dedicating the most time into TTs and are pushing the game to new heights. It sucks none of the top tters across all MK games earn money from playing if you think about it. The closest is Sword.
Also I find this bounty to be a little arbitrary. Be honest. If the track wasn't named Rainbow Road, would there be a bounty? What about other near impossible feats such as rWS glitch, 3/3 TF box clip, or 3/3 shroomless MT turnskip? Shouldn't the players responsible for current strongest wrs in the game (LC or rMC3) been rewarded, in hindsight?
I know putting my opinion into action isn't exactly feasible. The community isn't a money printing machine after all. However over $450 for a single successful 3lap run exceeds all expectations. It does open the doors a little bit down the road, considering the money doesn't need to be in the hundreds. For example, can anyone be rewarded $3-$5 for finishing a new 3lap WR? The game is 12 years old, and we are at the stage where every new wr is extremely impressive. This would be amazing to see realized one day.
