It was the 22nd February 2023. I checked this site first thing in the morning to proudly see my times on the leaderboard after a stressful week. All of a sudden, the headline news was:

To my disdain, I was one of those names. I had spent the past year building up trust, wowing everyone with my PRs seemingly every day, just for it all to be one of my "many identities". The times I had worked hard on were disappearing across different leaderboards.

The next thing I did was look at the Discord for any information. I had DMs from Goomba and Robert. The Goomba one was to tell me that I had been banned from all Player's Pages for alt-accounting. This included SMK and MKSC, where none of the alts were present. I had no idea what was going on, so I ask Goomba for evidence. He still hasn't answered... After what felt like an entire community all ganging up against me, I then felt like I had to give the words that are now mentioned when my name is brought up.

This became a huge meme in the community for the past 18 months, and I can't really blame them. I was in a very shittly place then and I just said the first thing that came to my mind because I was sure I hadn't done it.

I then looked at Robert's DMs. He was much calmer and more loyal than the MKDD Discord crew. He essentially said that I would be banned from MKSC (as he's an updater there) but he will keep me on the SC leaderboards, which was the motivation I needed to keep playing MKDD.

I know now that submitting fake times as like 7 different people, and then folding when questioned about it wasa very immature and shitty thing to do. Which is why none of the alt accounts are submitting times or showing any activity anymore. Whether it was my wife, or my brother Glitch J, or even me making these alts, there had to be some form of punishment, don't get me wrong. However, I think that the community (especially Goomba) went a bit much with trying to make my life a living hell, especially when you compare the reason I was banned to the reasons Gizmo (Logan Sacrey) was banned. It honestly felt like I was being treated much worse than a person who was an absolute cunt, in that he was rude and emotionally abusive to everyone he interacted with, as well as actively cheating times! I have now proven all my times with the 5 WRs getting live gameplay with CRT and handcam!

Sorry if I've rambled a bit too much here, finally feels good to let everything out after what has been far far too many months of being shat on. Shoutout to Logan Lewis for messaging you about this situation Alex and yes, I have learned NOT to get hasty with alternate accounts. I will guarantee that this will be the ONLY account I will be posting times with.

tl;dr I made shitty choices with alt-accounts and I publicly apologise for being 100% responsible.

Big week improvment wise for me. A lot of huge improvments (hence why I linked videos with them Tongue). 5 titans (and many more to come!) best improvment was a 1.2 second cut on MCT 3lap Smiley

Fired up MKDD this morning on a lark, and I found some PBs of mine from 2021 on Peach Beach, Yoshi Circuit, and DK Mountain. Given the date on the ghosts (4/29/21) I assume I achieved these scores after the site update that day and forgot to submit them amidst... everything else that was going on at the time in my personal life - also the cause of my 3 year hiatus.
Might get into doing TTs again, see how it goes.
