Greetings fellow karters!  I would like to announce that plans for ASMKC 2020 are well underway!  The format will be the same as last year's with it being a two day, triple elimination event.  The dates are March 14th and 15th, 2020.  We're working on having the tournament at a place called Hooligans, it's a barcade that opened up here in Monroe, Louisiana a few weeks ago.  If we don't have it there then we will have it at the same venue as last year.  We realize that last year's tournament had its fair share of mistakes but this tournament will be different.  ASMKC 2020 (aka Kartamania 2020) will be bigger, faster, stronger, smoother and sexier than ASMKC 2019.  

We haven't ironed out a price yet for the entry fee but rest assured that it will be cheap.  Also, the Kartel will again host as many people as possible coming from Europe  
I know there was a major lack of communication and updates regarding ASMKC 2019 and I apologize.  I'm an extremely lazy person but Kyle, Chris, and Eric have agreed to keep my (our) laziness in check and give the people what they want which is a constant stream of updates and information  .

I miss you guys and look forward to seeing everyone who came to ASMKC 2019 and of course all of you who couldn't make it as well!

A "barcade" (haven't heard that word before) would be amazing, I mean, the drinks would be right there.  

I take it that Hooligans is kinda like a Dave & Buster's? You know, like an arcade for us grown-ups?

Where exactly in Monroe is this place anyway? Is it in/near Pecanland? If so that would be easy to find, as the mall is one of the first things you see coming into Monroe from the east on I-20.

Good to know almost 6 months before! I will look after flights earlier than this year, because I'm interested in attending again. This time I will consider making the trip only for ASMKC though. Which is the airport I should aim at?

Hell yeah let’s do this again!

So the week before Kartamania I’ll be in Gulf Shores AL with some friends and if i bring my car I can leave on Friday. It’s too far out for me to say I’m 100% going, but I don’t see anything stopping me right now.

Coming from Gulf Shores means I’ll pass straight through Jackson on my way to Monroe, so I can definitely pick up people from the airport on Friday if needed. I could also come through Gulfport to pick up Nick on the way to Jackson; it’s only a 45 minute detour so I think it’s a great option. I can take myself and 3 people, 4 if necessary but it would be tight.

The return trip will definitely be trickier. I’ll need to go 8 hours north to reach St. Louis, and last year I drove through Sunday night to make it there for Monday classes. If I can figure out a way to get Monday off, I could stay Sunday night and take people to the Jackson airport Monday. Going to Gulfport is also a possibility, but it would turn 9 hours of driving into 14.5 hours. Maybe a bus is an option? And perhaps Dave could help with a return trip. Either way we have plenty of time to figure it out.

I’m excited already

How late about would we be going on Sunday?  I'm looking at taking a bus from Atlanta to Monroe, it's about an 11 hour ride.  I'm not sure what my class schedule for second semester will be, but it's possible I won't have any classes on Friday and I would be able to be there for the whole day Friday as well as the weekend.  I could probably miss Monday classes but it would be nice if I could go back overnight on Sunday.
