Just posting to give my support to allow players to join with any of the systems mentioned in the previous posts. If you want to reach a wider range of people then allowing this would benefit the site in my opinion. If these players enjoy the game then they could even decide to buy a SNES in the future, like Lafungo and Moll.

Typically a lot of younger people won't have a SNES and will not go and buy one just to try out SMK, but like mentioned, if they enjoy it and really want to get into the game, they might buy one.

But in the end it is down to Sami.

We just mean generally. You have to push one or two buttons (or maybe slightly more settings on a flat screen) to get it to precisely match that of a CRT.

CRT just plug it in. Play. Done.

Personally I wish all flatscreens had no lag at all, and I just think yours is a good one for old systems. I have never been able to find a HD screen that allows me do to frame-perfect stuff just like I need for many NBT cuts, GV1/GV2 platform jumps, VL2 island jumps and of course, perfect Rainbow Road jumps for example. HD Screen needs to be absolutely and exactly the same, or it is CRT or nothing.

Wow I did not know there were some flatscreens with no lag, I thought they all did.
It basically comes back to how much the TV company were willing to spend, if they had no budget they all could have just put an OSSC like Molls, or similar setup, inside and there would be no lag but they must normally use a much cheaper circuit.

Harvey is your flat screen you use quite old?
- when composite may still have been at the fore front
- what model TV is it?

Not sure if it was clarified on the joining page info (and news item on front page), but I guess the obvious should still be stated? --> no rewind option allowed (it should be stated in the joining info at least right?). And to enforce that, live replays for times >top-50?

Thank you, guess I made a bit of history here in a sense. Most of my times I only gave the track a few attempts except for my MC1. But I'll be playing more with time. My goal is to have a full timesheet on all the players pages. So far I have full timesheets on MK8/Deluxe, MK7, and SMK now, and I'm close to completing MKDS.
