This protocol has been tested by Jacob and Ryan.
It is meant to rule out that players used hacks that are unnoticeable in a normal replay video.
With all hacks off, a ghost will fail to finish the race (on time) if any illegitimate advantage was gained.
So if you want to prove yourself, make a video showing the ghost of your PR following these rules:
1. Begin recording with the 3DS off. It does not matter whether the 3DS has custom firmware installed or not, though as an extra security blanket, use an unmodified 3DS.
2. Turn on the 3DS and boot MK7.
3. Select the ghost and begin the time trial. Racing against the ghost is optional, as finishing the race does provide extra certainty the correct ghost was chosen. What's most important is to prove the ghost functions from beginning to end. I.e., the ghost drives all 3 laps + crosses the line at the EXACT time it is supposed to. So it's important that we see the ghost crossing the finish line. Either from the bottom screen or the top screen.
4. At all times, it must be evident to viewers you are not camera cutting or using video edits to mask a cut. For example, have a stopwatch beside the 3DS, move hands around, play music in the background, etc.
5. At all times, the entire top and bottom screens of the 3DS are to remain within the camera frame.
6. The video's audio must be strictly from the 3DS and real life surroundings. No edits to obstruct the audio or visibility
7. Video recording is not to be stopped prematurely.
