Isn't the running theory that Retty was killed in the 2011 Tsunami in japan? Afaik thats right around we last had contact with him.. Would be awful but its plausible.

We'd need more info. If he was in Miyagi, Iwate, or Fukushima, then it's a plausibility. If not then doubtful at best. I can do some digging to find whether he has ever revealed his location.

While we're digging, is this the actual Jorge (KT☆MARIO)? Shocked Same Mii. Can't be, can it?

Looking at their Client IDs, the old ghost that was proven to be a TAS has 04-07-c0-a4. The CTGP one has 0f-59-63-bf. However, his main account has c2-45-c1-76, so he could've just gotten a different one somehow. We'll just have to wait and see.
Also interestingly enough I found an alt of his called "Dotman": http://www.ninrankings.org/ghostdatabase/profil.php?id=257516479

the jorge debate is redudant on this site tho.

His KC run is already on the MkLeaderboards american top 10.

But since this site has another rules, Jorge sadly wont get any support here,

I hope people change their mind regarding ctgp since the times set there are legit. Fuck the past. Its calles "past" for a reason  Roll Eyes

also Jay Batten is back - http://www.chadsoft.co.uk/time-trials/rkgd/0B/5D/5C330CF61F2C2D1AA8CBBB2BE355...

If anyone is interested tho. feel free to spread hate again  Smiley

I feel like ctgp is enough of a protocol for former cheaters to prove legitimacy, but on something like a pp profile it should be noted.

Agreed. Unlike in the past, where if a cheater made a run, you couldn't know if it was cheated or not- now because Jorge made a CTGP run, I think he should be allowed back on the leaderboards.
I feel like this discussion needs its own thread, yeah?
Also we shouldn't rule out the possibility of this just being someone memeing.

It's interesting that there is always someone with a new/fresh account wanting to start a topic to change the rule-set in some way shape or form.  Smiley

Imo, a legit run is a legit run, obviously what Jorge and jay done was disgraceful and I’ve always felt really bad for nick especially as he was fighting a losing battle against those two, but at the end of the day, it must’ve been what, seven, eight years ago now? I would like to see those two among others offered a second chance but I totally understand why some disagree.

This thread sums it up, perfectly.

Therefore after several discussions the pp decided to not let (previously) banned players back on the competitive AF-Charts because they don't deserve any credit (lifetime-ban).

Luckily most of the players do not consider the "Moral Top 10s" from the PP anymore since they are not accurate (Barneys WRs, Daniels top 10 times, David Batke, Jorge, jay, Dused etc. times are missing)

All these players set times in CTGP which already indicate full proof therefore their times are legit and added to the MKL Leaderboards.

To sum it up:

Past cheaters were punished by:
- removing (almost) all their times from the charts
- No Acceptance on the PP

But the CTGP and MKLeaderboards add their times back to the main charts  Smiley

Well, the man recently got 2:19.003 (entering the WW top ten), and it looks like he has splits for a potential WR. Things might get interesting Grin

Might as well add his times everywhere outside the players' page, since that's what most of the community seems to agree on doing with other former cheaters

The only possible way the PP could add past cheaters back is if they make CTGP only a mandatory rule, I still don't think they should be added back solely as I believe the consequences should be severe and act as a deterrent for players who cheat that "if you cheat, you will never be accepted back into the community".

For me, it's not about whether or not the past cheaters are legitimate now, it's that if legitimate players see that even if they cheat they can still play potentially even if they're caught (which, with the current level of cheats if they're not stupid would be never) then they may be more inclined to make that decision.

That's the problem I have with adding past cheaters back. Of course, I have a more harsh view about it, as I clearly remember the betrayal I felt when half of the top 10 on the PP ended up being cheaters (not to mention countless other players outside of the top 10).

Though I feel like most of the time the people who are very for adding back cheaters are either new players or people who were friends with certain individuals (such as Daniel). I rarely ever see older players advocate for adding cheaters back to the rankings.

That's not the reason why we argue against adding former cheaters but w/e
