With cdm and mk64 meets in the summer as well as a few other things I just don't have enough leave days left this coming year I'm afraid. However if cdm ends up being in a backwater French village, that would likely free up some leave days for me, but might be a bit too shotnotice by the time that decision is made.

I can probably attend.

No chance of me making it but I will certainly watch on twitch if its available.

The venue is around 10 minutes from zeh airport.  I'll be able to pick you up/drop you off at the airport and drive you around wherever during the days of tournament.  I'll send you my number so that we can further plan shortly before the tournament.  Fuck PAL.

Yeah ok maybe not.. but for undeniable proof, he has been at CDMs where PAL was played for 4 days straight, I believe that is well over 100,000 seconds if you remove eating, sleeping hours etc. He survived it (and... kept going back again and again for more years to play more PAL   ). The only screaming you would hear was when some players crash and lose races. Where screaming was concerned, Guillaume broke the 'Loudness CDM Record' after the TT final win. That was worth a watch   and listen, if you care about your ear drums  

Everyone will try to keep it quiet in Monroe. On a serious note though as the guys said, we have to focus on NTSC for this one, as that is the purpose of this meet. I assume you wanted to just have a go on Matt / Eric's PAL console a little if you haven't tried it before? If you arrive earlier than the event (Friday?) I'm sure Matt and Eric could arrange something for you if you ask them nicely

Most importantly would be really great to meet you, with more players going I hope as many of us as possible can attend.

It would be great to see you try it, the turns angles and boost charge timings are a little different but you could hit some great records there if you can max it out. Anyway ask Matt, or he'll reply here soon.

I have an idea though... on the next PAL CDM, how about we both turn up to spend time with the people and spectate, but we don't touch the game at all.

Here's what will go down...  

We will have an amazing time catching up with everybody, and can do more of that than ever as we will have all the extra free time to socialise with everyone. Even the Fortnite players if we wana go that far But... I'll get extreme SMK withdrawal symptoms and not be able to eat or sleep properly. You'll be ok though as you will avoid even the 20 seconds of "poisonous PAL" hell.

Tiny change of subject, I heard that there could be a large turnout at ASC, will be great to meet lots of new people. You should try to come as well man.

Listened to the Karthritis episode on this, I'm interested in going. I don't know if I will be able to do so, but I'll see what I can do

OTHER INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT:
The address of the venue for the tournament is Tower Place Monroe, 1500 N 19th St, Monroe, LA 71201.
There is an attendance cap of 125 people, so sign up and show up early!
Snacks and drinks will be provided. No alcohol will be sold at the venue. Pizza will be served.
Arrive at 10:30 for signing in and some warm up matches. The tournament starts at 11am sharp. If you are late, you are out of luck!
Arrive earlier if you have a TV or console which needs to be set up.
The tournament format (except for time trials) will be triple elimination. You lose 3 times and you're done.

The tournament schedule is as follows:
3/16/19:
7:30am - Staff will be setting up, if you are bringing a TV, come between 8am-10am.
10:30am - Competitor sign in.
11am - Time Trials tournament.
4pm - Match Race tournament.
8pm - event expected to be complete for the day.
3/17/19:
10:30am - Competitor sign in.
11am - Grand Prix tournament.
5pm - Battle Mode tournament.
9pm - Awards ceremony.

It seems customary that Grand Prix is always played last at CDM but for ASMKC it's gonna be Battle Mode

I'm curious: how do you plan on implementing triple elimination? As far as I know, there's no existing (public) bracketing software that can handle the format.
