Harvey - Louisiana surely has to be an ideal spot for you to attend, right? With any sort of saving from now until March you could easily afford to spend a week away from Mississippi and travel to its neighbor.

That being said, I have a few CRT TVs I could bring, but not that many. Almost assuredly more than most people these days, haha. But that would mean that I would 100% have to drive across the country with a car full of antiquated televisions, which I assume is how the CDM operates though I'm not certain.

Still, this is pretty rad already. Smiley

A big SMK meet in the US is long overdue! I'm in as long as my schedule lets me, and odds are it will. Hopefully I can also skip some classes and leave town on Thursday or earlier. As for TVs, I have a small white CRT that I could bring. Grabbing it would add a little time to my trip but if we're short a TV I wouldn't mind.

I remember in Alphen there were a lot of good prospects for positive improvements at least. And the suggestion from Lars Nouwen which was nice for example.

Anyway yes a pro's and con's list can be good plus the usual votes etc then something can be officially booked and chosen by December or something? The far away travellers need notice enough, that means you Guilherme! Cool

It was something to do with the catering, a provisional offer. Karel can explain more as im not sure if it would 100% happen but I think it was on the cards. Considering I read that a few players didn't like the lunches at Alphen (why I don't know... *shakes head*)... If there is a catering option for something a bit better, then that either solves a problem (that wasn't a problem in the first place), or it makes something good from 2018, become great in 2019.

Win / Win situation.

Yeah Lars offered to cater the lunches and dinners through his restaurant (which is conveniently located a few 100m away from the venue). He'll offer them with a very significant discount or even for free, the details need to be discussed, but that's only necessary if the Alphen option is chosen (obviously).

The NTSC championship is definitely happening. Kyle and I have already found/reserved a venue for it that can potentially host up to 120 players though we're anticipating only about half that amount, maybe even a little more. The tournament will take place March 16th and 17th. Obviously lots of you are probably wondering how we can fit a SMK tournament in to 2 days and we plan to answer that question and many more on an upcoming episode of Karthritis. We would also like everyone's help on choosing a name for the tournament! Love you guys Kiss

This is awesome! Great work guys. Id love to come, but after a quick check of flights around that time I doubt il be able to. They were all ~£800 to pretty much any airport in Louisiana, which I just cant stretch to at the moment. So il just have to catch the stream.

As for the name, surely you gotta go for 'SMK World Championships'. None of this poncy French nonsense!

So far we have Karel, Martin, Zarkov and hopefully Sami (and maybe even a wild ScouB) coming from Europe to participate in Kartamania 2019! What say ye Mario and Moll? Anyone coming from Europe (or Australia Wink
