The Karthritis Society Challenge Cup!

What is it you ask? Well, in short it is a biweekly challenge made by the fine people of the Karthritis Society alongside guests of the show where we aim to compete in creative gaming challenges. These will vary each time, but they will not be known challenges with established times or strategies.

How do you participate? Read up on the current challenge and set a time as well as guess the winning time. The submission deadline for the guess is 1 week before the challenge ends. All submission can be sent via private message to me on the message board or to the Karthritis e-mail.

How do I win? You score points based on your performance and your guessed time. The winner of each category gets 3 pts, second place gets 2 pts and the third place gets 1. Meaning the maximum you can get is 6 points for each challenge. Each season will have 5 different challenges and the competitor with the most points at the end of the season will win 1st prize - Not yet decided, but value around 100 $. The second and third place finishers will also get prizes for their efforts

Primer challenge - The GAS

This challenge acts as a primer and will award all participants who reach the target time with 1 point. The guessed time will not award a point, but will act as practice

Here are the rules for "The GAS", named after the guest from Episode 2 of Karthritis - Guillherme Arantes!

Super Mario Kart - Time Trial
MC1 - Blindfolded opener lap.
Target time: 30:00.

There are no character limitations nor limitations on playstyle, meaning you can NBT if you are absolutely bonkers  
Send the guessed winning time to Karthritis email within 7 days to participate and hone your guessing skills.
Send your own best time, along with video proof, to the same email address within 14 days, and get a leg up on the competition by getting 1 point, if you meet the target time

I will most likely change the wording of some of this at some point, but do feel free to ask questions and get clarifications

Ok I suggested this challenge because I had a head start. I have already driven a couple of ok-ish laps hahaha. I'm hoping a lot of people get involved, it's pretty fun (and confusing) to run the game like this.

I'll go with it, this is a funny one. Deadline is July 28 right? Because I'll be at home with two fellow karters on the 28-29 weekend and we could play the challenge (and record it) together.

Haha, I did the same when MJ and Willem were visiting my place. We all played PAL, it's a disadvantage anyway, so yeah I'd be in favor of turning a blind eye there (pun intended.... )

That would mess up the point system a bit, also this is a test-challenge anyway to get people acquainted with the format and be rewarded a point for it. A beta-test in a sense.
That said, getting sub 30 in PAL is significantly harder than NTSC.

I hope people will join up for this Deadline to enter your guess is in 72 hours btw.
