Hi to all and everyone

I would like to divert your attention towards this new and ongoing project called Karthritis. Some of you may be familiar with Kart Radio from a decade ago and this is the return of that show, in a sense. We are all older and some of us wiser. We delve in topics regarding Kart news and gaming news of a somewhat speedrun-related kind. There will also be other topics and endless banter.

The current hosts are:
Sargoth - Marius Hukkelås, NLG Founder, Kart enthusiast
KVD - Karel van Duijvenboden, SMK world champ, DKC2 fanboy
eoJ reinreB - Joe Bernier - Former SMK NTSC champ, Mike Tyson's Punch-out! connoisseur

We will also have guests from within and outside of the kart community. Expect greatness Smiley

Episode 8 with RWGoose is now live!

We discuss two of the longest running speedrunning communities, Goldeneye 007 and Mario Kart 64, with Ryan White. A man who has made quite the name for himself in the last couple of years making very interesting videos regarding Goldeneye and other speedrunning games of the era. We touch on many subjects here in what was a very enjoyable conversation mainly about the speedrunning scene at large. And yes, we do eventually go into the topic of Steven Zwartjes, one of the names that overlap the two communities the most, for better or worse.

This ShortCut episode also contains a new concept which we may introduce as a Karthritis staple if it works well. We get a detailed look into the decision making process that goes on in the heads during high level SMK matches by letting ScouB and me review our Match Race group stage match from this year's CDM. A lot of (decision making) mistakes in this one actually, so there is plenty to chew on. Cheesy
