Hello everyone!

Let's first explain what Karthritis is....
Karthritis is a podcast (loosely) centered around the Super Mario Kart community, featuring a set panel of hosts (Dan, Joe, Marius, ScouB, Clark and me for the pilot episode) and a variable range of topics. Karthritis is the successor to Kart Radio, which was a thing a decade or so a go. Expect plenty of shots fired, inside jokes (sorry, not sorry) and coverage on news from both inside and outside the realms of gaming.

Haha, not everyone has the attention span of a 10 year old.  

That said, podcasts aren't for everyone of course and I do agree we went a bit overboard with the lenght this time. We had like 8 years of catching up to do though.    I think most people that are accustomed to listening to podcasts do it while they are working or traveling and don't mind it being long.

I would personally combine it with going for an SMK PR, which typically takes far longer for me than even this podcast. So yeah combine it with a repetitive activity that doesn't require sound. Or just don't listen to it if it's not your cup of tea, that's also perfectly fine.

^Shots fired aside, your point is well taken, next episode should be shorter.  

Talk more about WR history. Listening to Karel talking about his gv1 flap was good.

Definitely agree it went well have having an hour + long episode is fine. If working or tidying at home and want something on in the background this is perfect. You can always continue it later and pick up where it left off if you want to do it in shorter bursts.

I will try to listen to this during a train trip, or when I'm doing something very boring at work, to make sure I perfectly focus on it. Thanks for doing this!

The little bit that I’ve listened to so far has been great. I’ll listen to the whole thing at some point!

Currently listening to the episode, it's great fun! I had heard of the legend of Kart Radio, but unfortunately it was before my time and the episodes were no longer available by then.

As for what I would like to see in future episodes, I'd love to hear some segments on Mario Kart history (and more specifically community history), especially since the podcast members are all long-time veterans of the community. For example, I'd love to hear an in-depth segment on the NLG '07 meet: how it came to be, why it was meaningful for the community, stories of the meet itself, etc.

While I'm at it, I'd also like to request that the old Kart Radio episodes get uploaded somewhere, assuming anyone still has them.

Im para-phrasing a bit here, but yeah both of those are things that most likely will come to fruition. The Kart Radio episodes will probably be added to the RSS-feed once in a while. So far we dont have all the episodes, but that should be fixable.

As for NLG 2007, that was kinda why Kart Radio was started, and now over a decade has passed. We will most certainly go into this at some point

I like your Karthritis podcast it's a good thing for me the more I listen the more I understand, and personally I don't really care if it's short or if it lasts longer than 3 hours because I have plenty of time, I'm gonna listen episode 0 a second time.

Due to the ongoing karter contest, world cup (apparently it's coming home...) and the upcoming CDM, SMK World Championship, we are making shows a bit more frequent than we most likely will after the summer is over.
