Hey everyone, I'm here to share some fun facts about Nathan Stinson and try to convince you to vote for him. I've got nothing against Antistar, I just really think Nate deserves a lot of votes in this contest for being an amazing community member for so long. Being seeded #64 from the group phase certainly didn't help his situation, but at least he got this far.
Nate at the 2012 Mexico-Brazil friendly at Cowboys Stadium. Community BioNate's been a forum member since 2004 but a member of the online kart scene since 1999. He is one of only ten karters to participate in all eight editions of the Karter Contest. His highest finish was a top 16 loss in 2004, and since 2008 he's failed to get into the top 32.
Nate has amassed over 4000 posts in his 5000+ day message board career. He's started loads of awesome topics to share great stories and coordinate events. He's participated in numerous forum activities and real life meetups.
You've probably played against Nate if you ever joined a sports prediction contest on these boards. Nate's also often keeping the yearly Virginia meet topic updated with the latest info. He even puts in extra effort to connect with Karters who aren't active on the forums to invite them to the meet.
Nate's message board posts are always very enthusiastic, friendly, and full of great information. He's fun to chat with as well! Nate was formerly a Kart IRC mainstay and is still active on Discord today. So make sure to stay in touch with him on Discord or add him on Snapchat.
Nate Reddits all the time and he even created
r/mariokart which has over 23,000 members. Join up if you haven't already!
Time TrialsNate's maybe not quite at Antistar's SMK level in any single kart game in Time Trials, but on the combined ranks, he's right up there at #75, just two places behind Antistar (#73), with times pages submitted for the each of the first seven Mario Kart games. Nate's probably best known as an MK64 player, but he's also ranked #75 in SMK.
MultiplayerFor the last 12 years, Nate has participated in the biggest MK64 multiplayer tournament in North America each summer. After debuting at the 2006 St. Louis meet (3rd place!), Nate has been in the Virginia meet field every year from 2007 to 2017. He's got one championship, two 2nds, four 4ths, two 5ths, an 8th, and an 11th on his VA record. That's incredible! Eight of 12 years he's been in the top 4. So consistent!
I even managed to face Nate in online MK64 multiplayer way back in 2007.
Here's the video! (I'm pretty sure Nate is one of those players....)Other GamesThere's a good reason why Nate's not in the top 50 of MK64 anymore...he's too busy playing other games! Nate's a video gamer all the way through. He's always playing games....console, PC, handheld, mobile. Games are a huge part of Nate's life. Nate tries to make it to QuakeCon every year, as long as it doesn't interfere with his Virginia schedule.
Nate is very active on Steam. Add him (nstinson) if you haven't already. He's got over 700 games! Lately he can be found playing PUBG, Overwatch, Rocket League, CS:Source, Call of Duty, TF2, Left 4 Dead, and CS:GO.
If you like PUBG,
here's a great video of Nate participating in a wonderful Squad Mode win along with wheat, Thiefmaker, and me.
Beyond GamingNate is one of the nicest, most selfless people I know.
When he's not gaming with his online buddies, Nate's constantly out and about, often doing great things with his family. One weekend he'll be heading out for an Oklahoma City Thunder game and the next he'll be having a good time playing games or hanging out with his nephews or other relatives.
He's always there to support friends and family at any sporting events, music recitals, or other great things they are in. Nate also really goes the extra mile to help out his mother whenever needed.
All these non-gaming things come BEFORE gaming.
Every.
Single.
Time.
Even though gaming is a huge part of Nate's life, it definitely always comes second to his family and friends.
And that's how it should be.
Vote for Nate!
