Hello all.
I am sure many of you have been wondering: who is this Max28 guy, and how did he get 10 nominations? Well, I'm Max28, and I'm not really sure. What I do know is how to shitpost and how to play MKDS, more or less.
I started playing MK back in the summer of '16 when I saw a few TWD98 videos, and was instantly intrigued to learn more about the competitive scene. I had always been good at MK, at least good enough to beat my friends handily, but I had no idea this was going on because of limited internet access. However, I do distinctly remember downloading Cole's 58.970 YF as a kid while trying to unlock all 32 fast staff ghosts, and being supremely impressed by how clean the lines were and how every action went just as intended. I played MKW for about a year, eventually discovering mkwrs.com and the player's page. I also found the forum and browsed it quite often, but my inability to solve the math equation prevented me from joining. (Seriously, 0 was already there as the automatic answer, so I thought I didn't have to change it. And the error message that was given completely misled me.) However, that frustration with that question and the inactive MKW Yahoo groups led me to my destiny, on Discord.
I joined discord in an attempt to contact someone about my times, which had shown up in the Yahoo Group but were not on the PP. The person I contacted informed me that the forum was now the main place to submit times, and that I should contact a mod, maybe Shadow. Of course, I didn't know who that was, so I gave up (probably for the best. )
However, a few days after I joined the general MK server, someone posted a link to the public double dash server. It was there that my legacy would form. I lurked there for a long while, learning the culture and the people inside it. Eventually I began to post, hang out in people's streams, and be an "active" member in the community (despite never having played MKDD, lol.) As time went on, my posts began to devolve, and I grew into the incredible shitposter I am today.
In May 2016, I decided to play MKDS. I had played lots as a kid, but I had a broken R button, so I never learned to snake, and I lost the cart somewhere along the way. But, I picked up a new cart, beat GP, and began TTing. I was really bad at first. Like
really bad. But after I figured out what inputs actually constituted an MT, I was hooked. I really wanted to learn to prb, like I had seen on the WRs page. I soon had a rMC1 PRB 3lap completed, the very first of which is on my YT channel. From there, I have played, not always consistently, and reached #48 on the PRB charts (once Etch updates times, so who knows how long that could be.)
I also acquired MKDD in the summer of that year. I played it a little, but it never hooked me like MKDS did. However, I do have a full timesheet, although I have several unsubmitted prs, so my actual times are much better than what is represented on the pp.
At some point I joined the forum, after it came up in one of many late nights spent shitposting on Discord. Someone finally told me that the answer wasn't 0. (Seriously, that was bad. I know order of operations, ok? I'm not a kiddie, I promise.) My first post was complaining about the verification process in Board Problems. Since then, I have always read the forum but never really posted much. I am far more active on Discord. I am sure that if you are in the general MK server, the MKDD server, or one of the many others I am in, you have seen me. If not, come find me, let's hang. I'm max#0448 and I have an orange default pfp.
These days, I shitpost a fuckload on Discord, and am very active in a few MK communities. I don't play MKW much at all anymore, but I keep up with CTGP and the time trial communities. I have played MKDD a bit recently in an attempt to get rid of my shit 1-try special cup, but I'm not submitting until I can bop Lafungo. Just yesterday, I acquired a DS lite and MKSC, so I am looking to join that page and bop Leone soon. I still play MKDS, although lately I have been busy with school. However, with summer now here, I aim to bop Diogo soon, then Leone.
TL;DR
I am active on this forum, as in I read almost every post on it, but I do not post much myself. I do, however, post way too much on Discord, so if you are on there, you've almost definitely seen me. I am good at MKDS, ok at MKDD and MKW, and I will be good at MKSC soon:tm:. Here is a shortlist of some of my greatest (and not-so-greatest) accomplishments.
Top 50 in MKDS (PRB)
#813th out of 1039 on MKDD (currently, but I have a few hoarded times)
My MG No-Glitch time on MKW is pretty good. (Almost top 10 regional)
A sick 51.83 on PC in MKSC, that I got yesterday.
A single CR in MKDS, although I am very close to several others.
23 subscribers on YT (haven't posted much lately.)
A WR on the Sea Caves Race Course in Club Penguin Island (which I have held pretty much since the game game out.)
I'm pretty good at Rocket League. (Got up to Diamond 2 division 3 last season in 3's.)
I have posted some incredibly gay and lewd things on several people's YT videos, and in many Discord channels.
One time, I said I would be willing to play mafia, but I never did.
Once, I met up with Shock, since we live near each other. It was great. I got a sick 27.83 SW flap, and Shock's greasy thumb blessed my DS.
I'm pretty good at Tetris.
I'm very good at music. (Hit me up if you need a trombone, piano, or guitar player. Preferably paid.)
I was once ranked the second-worst shitposter in the MKDD server, by an unbiased 3rd party.

Why do you need to ask? Just do it already.
Seriously, I don't know if I am deserving to win the whole thing at all. But, I have definitely learned so much from this community. You all have shown me how to be a truly genuine person, helpful and supportive to others, how to truly learn and improve at something, and how to shitpost harder than Etch after his 15th beer. But, you should vote for me, because I like winning.
Wow, this took a while to write. I don't know how Harvey, Chrono, and others do it. You must have a
lot of time on your hands.
