For those who don’t know me, that is probably because I mainly use the MK7 section of this forum. But I thought this Karter Contest gives me a chance to inform you about who I am.

First of all: yes it is true, I am 38 years old. Like 20 years ago or something, I have played some SMK and MK64. I still have a SNES and SMK at home. I also have a Wii with MKW and a WiiU with MK8. But my main focus is still MK7. Five years ago I bought a Nintendo 3DS with Mario Kart 7  for my son. My son enjoyed it but moved on to other games (he plays Fortnite at the moment, like all kids do) but I kept playing Mario Kart 7. I joined the Players’ Page early 2014 and I was the biggest noob for sure back then. But the concept, the competition and the community were very attractive to me. Later that year I volunteered  to help at the MK7 PP. The activity was suffering from the Yahoo Groups update and the launch of MK8 at that moment, so I felt like I needed to do something. Luckily the game had a huge revival after that. Now over seven years after the game’s release, I am happy we have around 50 active karters every month. And that is all thanks to this great community we have. So even if MK7 is not really your game, but you have as much appreciation as I do for players who are willing to invest lots of hours of their free time into the community and into the Players’ Page, then let me point out for you who they are for MK7 in this Karter Contest:

So if you come across one of these names in this KC, now you know why you should consider voting for them. And of course this list is not complete, these are only those who made it into the Karter Contest. I must also say that I’m grateful to Alex Penev who already made a lot of changes to the MK7 PP on my requests.

Besides my MK7 carreer I can tell you that I’m from Nieuwpoort/Belgium, it’s a nice town to live. Life is good, business is going well, I love my wife and my two sons are miracles. The only thing I can complain about is that I don’t have enough time to play Mario Kart.

We joined the PP around the same time. The two of us were one of the few active in MK7 when MK8 became popular. You're also one of the few to pass me there when I was climbing the charts.
Interesting to see you become and are still one of the figures of the community after all this time. You got my vote.

Ive been submitting times since August 2015 and 2.5 years later, Frederiek is still one the main people leading the community. I have great respect for you for what you have contributed to updating times, writing news and so much more.

You have my vote and I’m sure you have everyone else from MK7’s vote as well

Although you weren't a times updater , you were the one to welcome me when I joined the PP (and to tell me to specify my country lol). Beyond that, you're one of the people who made me want to involve myself in the community rather than just playing the game

To tell you the truth, we had a few issues around that time but it was TvK who was especially worried about your submission. You had been inactive for a long time and then out of nowhere some new forum account made one post with a RRM time from you. I'm pretty sure it was top 20 at that time. So I felt like I had to do something because of TvK his doubts. I can't remember what my message said, but now we know at least that it was you. Proof would be better of course :p, but I believe your time is legit. Also because I have seen your old RRM WR's.
