I'm gonna be cliché and say Omega's 59.000 on rYF. It was so far ahead of its time and the .000 makes it even more legendary.

@Blaze, the CM run you mentioned is actually my favourite CM run I've driven, same with the DKJP one

Going for Wr on that track will probably bring any sane person to a dark dark place now.

My favourite World Record was probably RockyLight's 1'50"686 on GCN Waluigi Stadium.

Even after these years, his ghost is still very fun to race with and helps out a lot. If anyone wants to play rWS (no turn-skip) then I'd highly recommend this ghost to play with.

EDIT: another World Record that I find quite fun to race against would be LeeD93's 1'48"007 on Dry Dry Ruins.

I loved downloading the wr ghosts through the mkwii channel back in the day... had almost a ghost for every track

NMeade's 2:17.683 on MT (no-glitch) from 2010.

I remember getting a new computer, new HD monitor, and watching this run in full 720p glory. The song and the run are honestly what really got me hooked on this track to Time Trial along with the Christmas magic that time of year. I loved the idea of putting a song over a TT run, something so simple yet somehow powerful. I already knew I loved MT from the possible stars and mushrooms from the piles of leaves during online (who doesn't love shock dodging or dodging the blue shell in first place), but this run gave me insight into the depth that time trials allows for.

I only managed a 2:20.910 some 2.5 weeks before seeing this run, but at the time I felt accomplished in what I had done. Only later when my friend (iDominatemkwii lmfao) told me about the "Jak strat" that Jak was using for the first corner after the cannon, I improved to a 2:20.210 and felt like that's all I could do. Not too soon later, Troy found out how to humanly perform the glitch I now know and love. This got me sucked into the community of time trials outside of Wario's Gold Mine regionals/AR at the time, and to be honest I felt like I pushed so hard in no-glitch to prove (both to myself and the community) that I wasn't just another glitch TTer. About 9 months later this led to my 2:16.754 run when I beat Totom on my input laggy plasma screen TV.

I felt this was the appropriate place to post this story. I don't know if I've ever written it down. Sometimes you feel sentimental in times of immense stress (yay finals week approaching) and letting those thoughts flow while reminiscing is the best form of therapy available to remind yourself that there is good in the universe or something.
