2017 was another great year for Mario Kart 7. And between all your guys' massive activity, these four players impressed us the most. But only one will get the title. Who will you choose?


Attract
Attract, also known as tdz, joined the Players’ Page in 2016. He was mostly a Maka Wuhu specialist back then, but he quickly fell in love with our Average Finish game. He started 2017 at #36 and showed a lot of determination this year to become one of the very best. He is now #4 AF. He was even #3 for a brief moment, but he lost that spot when TAK joined the battle. Attract improved 29 out of 32 tracks on his timesheet. 15 of them were good for top 10. He is now only 0.5 AF away from Diogo. And he achieved World Records on MW NG, MW G, and rBC1 NG. Reaching God standard on both NG tracks.

Yacine Wind Waker
At the start of the year, Yacine didn't really grind any tracks except for rMC2, where he held the WR, and maybe a few others. He was mostly into playing and organizing MK7 clan wars at that time. But somewhere around summer he suddenly started sending in a lot of PR’s with huge improvements and massive AF cuts. And everyone saw that late 2017 was dominated by a symbiosis between him and Jacob, pushing each other to their limits, conquering multiple world records. Yacine ends 2017 with 4 WR’s, on rMC2, NBC NG, PPS and rWP . He is now #5 AF and #3 in total times. A video by Yacine of his NBC NG WR where he introduced the shroomless turncut, was one of the biggest revelations of the year.

Paradox
Paradox was fairly new to the scene when 2017 began. But everyone quickly saw how talented he was, and how professional he approached the game. More than that, he persisted through the whole year, day after day, to improve his timesheet. As a result, he managed to grow from a 72nd place ranked player to a top 10 legend. A great achievement and a reward for all his hard work. On top of that he accomplished his first World Record, on Rock Rock Mountain. He improved it several times to a 1’58”562 now. Next to all his time trial activity, Paradox also gained a reputation as a strong worldwide and clan war player.

TAKmk
We are aware that TAK only joined the Players’ Page at the end of September, but we truly believe that he deserves his nomination for Player Of the Year. TAK had the most amazing year. We can’t retrieve much data of his timesheet at the beginning of 2017, but we do know that he had  5 worldwide top ten times on the end of 2016 (2 NG and 3 G), and now he has 24 worldwide top ten times (21 NG and 3 G). He also improved those 5 worldwide top ten times from last year. TAK is 2nd in our AF rankings. All of his times are in the top 15 and he’s holding 4 Site Records.

Well yea he only played two months seriously, but have you ever seen such a big jump on the rankings?
Especially saying that it's cheap. Well, try to get #4 yourself then if it's so easy.
And also, you say here that he did play for two months but you said you didn't even vote him for POQ#4!
