So not much discussion has happened in a while.  Is it time to make a decision and cast a vote?  Otherwise this will be forgotten until another scenario comes up like Hibiki's and we'll wonder why we never made a decision.

I don't see an issue starting the first vote. We can have 1.0 vs 1.1 vs 3.X as I mentioned before on the previous page; then if 3.X wins, we do 3.0 vs 3.1 etc etc. To avoid rushing, the pole could be open for a very long period of time. Something like 2 - 3 months. This will give enough time for everyone to spread the word and get others to cast a vote.

@Spec Ye mkboards users should probably have their own thread for voting. Idk how that would work with the voting results here. Do votes get summarized together into one big final result? Do the mkboards voting results not effect the MKWPP side of things? Obviously, their site has nothing to do with anything here whatsoever. I asked this because the main purpose of this entire ordeal was to have mkwpp and mkwrs utilize same ruleset.

I consider the WR to be the fastest time drove that has proof it is legitimate. Ex: I believe Barney is world record holder. Ex-cheater or not the fastest is the fastest, and if it is real their is no denying that.

WRs must be set in CTGP now in my opinion. Whether you want to be mr. coolguy and tt offline or not, I really think CTGP should be the standard for all future records - of course, this brings up japans situation. I am not sure how active the tt community is in Japan currently, but I feel like if you can get a WR you are likely aware enough to have CTGP. Surely some community members can do some basic translation for them, too.

Currently, your ghost won't be saved with Mystuff on or No sound. I'm unaware of what bean can do, but I personally loved to use no sound until I realised it wouldn't count.

TL;DR: For future records, they must be set in CTGP - no exceptions no matter what country you are from.

There's already been discussion about forcing CTGP-only rule. While it looks pretty from a first glance, CTGP can always get hacked in the future. There's always a chance Bean/Chadderz discontinue CTGP way down the road. Plus, there's a stream protocol guide in one of the sticky threads which is 100% unhackable, we just use CTGP as our first option because it makes everything so convenient. Set it on CTGP? Good to go. Not set on CTGP? Well as long as the stream protocol is followed, good to go still.

Custom music makes you race the track differently. Read what Jascha said (I’d quote it but I’m lazy)– if you want to listen to your own music while playing, you can fucking mute your TV while playing the music you want. That’s what legit players do, not hack their fucking game to inject different music.
