Like the first commenter said - his Mario Party video went viral, almost 100mil views.
So if you say for example that his other videos have on average 500k views, then even if we assume that all those "external" views are just from that one 100mil video, then all that's required is for 0.5% of the Mario Party viewers to look at his other Mkwii videos to achieve that viewcount, which with YT's suggestion sidebar is not hard to imagine at all.

You really asked this? Like YouTube wouldn't be aware of tricksters such as him and others who do things to have a false amount of views to the naked viewer. YouTube would know they aren't legitimate views.
