I'm Joe S. on the MN rankings, I had the top time day 1, but I kept choking runs after that then Kyle S and Matt Beach showed up and they're both much better at MK7 then my rusty butt is so I left early on Sunday since I was getting discouraged. Smiley

Still had a great time though, the event itself was far from perfect and being able to use headphones would've helped so much, but all the Nintendo reps and players there were great to talk to! I'm not sure if anybody outside of who I mentioned is part of the MK community, but if you're reading this is was great to talk and hang out with you guys! Smiley

Source? I'm going to be super bummed if they just don't re-schedule it, or move it to another state. I've put so much time and effort into practicing, not to mention my constant level of anxiety for the last month because I want to make it to the championship so bad.

As sad as I am to say it, I feel it's quite unlikely they will re-schedule. I think they will either take the top 2 from Seattle for each age group, or invite a couple more famous Youtube/Twitch gamers. I urge everyone who planned to attend Miami to call Nintendo tomorrow. Ask them to consider having it in Miami the following weekend, or even the next. Express how much time you put into practicing for it and how disappointing it would be to not even get a chance to qualify. If enough of us do this, they may listen!

Closest one to me *was* Miami, which I wasn't planning to go to anyway, though that's moot since it's been cancelled...maybe if they decide to hold the Miami one in Atlanta to make up for it, I'll go! I doubt it though, most likely is they won't replace that event and invite you (or a runner up who beats you) or some twitch/youtube personality in place of the spot reserved for the Miami winner.
