My only personal issue with the standards are at the very start it is brutally hard. Once i got most Beginners the standards become more fun

I wanna push the limits of all the Mario Kart games. I started with MKDD then KM7 (Both I am still gettings PBs in) then I will probably go MK64, MKDS, SMK, MK8, MKWii, and MKSC. (That is my planned schedule as I will start with MK64 probably in two weeks) I will make a schdule as to what days belong to what games. Right now DD and 7 are my main focuses as MK7 needs a little bounce in it's step. I want to have all God times by the end of the year in MK7 and all Hero D and up times by the end of the year in MKDD. Yeah Hugh  when I read your times I thought it'd be a one time thing but if you are into 7 and DD both like I am now that's awesome Smiley. I think having God +1 to God+10 added would be fun for those who are literally perfect at the game but I wouldn't recommend it now that I think about it considering that there is the King ranks which aren't in MKDD which I forgot about. Honsetly I like that MK7 is different from Double Dash which is different from MK64 and etc. but having maybe a standards chart that has the same types of ranks and rank names for each game might be easier on newcomers from other Mario Karts.

...good luck with that.  I've been playing for 5 years and only have 1 Myth C.  Not that I'm super good at this game, but still...

Um...  Smiley Sorry to burst your bubble but getting 32/32 Gods would take several years and well over 5,000 hours.

This however, is very doable. You should easily get 32/32 Hero D by the end of the year if you play MKDD at least 10 hours per week.

I pulled it off in 2 and a half months having only played the game twice before i started so its very reasonable. Though youre not gonna be pushing the limits of dd any time soon

Back to MK7 standards though. I agree that the standards are really good standards(my opinion may mot be as strong since im not that good) and motivating to try and obtain

I'll put it out there; Christian Wild, the overall champion of MK, once said he had invested almost 10,000 hours into the 8 games IIRC. I hate to break it to you but there aren't even 10,000 years in an hour, let alone the 9 months till December

Also, correct me if I'm wrong but I think he might have said he spent 10,000 hours on SMK alone.

Taking into account the glitch category, reaching all Gods would mean beating at least 27 of the current WRs... Good luck.

Okay okay, I just got thrown into this topic and read thtough it... so first of all, please don't use me as a measurement. People are different in achieving things, and not every kart game is similar. Even if I need 10000 hours to... let's say achieve every GOD standard in MK64, it doesn't mean that another person would need as long aswell. People are differently skilled and may have other ways.

Also: earlier MKs are not to be compared with the newer ones. Of course standards may seem weird, unachievable, dumb or whatever you want to call it, but  they are meant to be challenging. I am not even close to good enough to judge the MK7 standards, but let me say this: there's many games where every standard has only been achieved waaaaay after release. Just as perfect example, the SMK RR PAL 5lap standard. Even ~25 years after it's games release not every standard has been achieved. It's not because players aren't good enough to get it or the standard is set too high. It's humanly possible, just veeery hard to achieve. And that's what GOD standards are for: it should be a motivation to grind for better times...

Who knows, maybe new strats will be invented over time and those standards will be achieved... how much time he invests into the game, it's all factors that you cannot predict 100%. To be honest yeah, achieving all GODs in MK7 when not even a single person has all standards at GOD is ridiculous, but maybe his motivation will get him very high... sooner or later Smiley

I just think so loosely of the God rank as a mainly  MKDD member where there is God +1 all the way up to God +10. I guess getting Titan and Myth times in MK7 is the equivakent of getting Lower scale times in DD. If we had a translator for rank equivalences from game to game this could be easier. Also to Colvin and Supy I said those are my goals realistic or not. Also I already have 2 Expert D times in MKDD and Hero D is only 4 ranks up so it may take a while but having a hero rank sounds better than an advanced rank or even expert rank.  As for MK7 I will se what I can do as I am very good at every Mario Kart game except the Arcade ones but who cares about those? I guess maybe all Expert or better times in MK7 would be more reasonable.

Standards should be accurate representations on how strong your run is. So honestly, MK7 has the best standards among any other MK. With only a few God standards that are well behind a particular tracks' limit, the rest of the God standards have either been met by only a handful of players, or haven't been met that can entirely be met one day. There honestly should never be a player with God standard as their average, just like how no player should ever have 1.000 AF. They highlight weak standards and weak competition respectively. When I click on a track, I want to see 1-5 God times, not 20+.

Besides, if you want to complain about MK7 standards being "too hard" (or MK7 players being too weak, which is 100% foolish if you think that), then go complain to MK8. Almost 3 years later since the game's release and there hasn't even been a discussion on standards  Grin

I just want to get good at the Mario Kart series as a whole and do something big. I don't know hwhat, how, or even when but I want to change the community in a good way. I want to revolutionize Mario Kart Time Trials. I want to be a historical icon when Mario Kart Player's Page comes to mind like Alex Penev, Christian Wild, Sami Cetin, and Kevein Booth to name a few examples. Now I will probably never reach the same level as those guys but you get the pitcure. I want to do something so marvelous that it not just helps me but everyone in the community. I have big probably unreachable dreams but isn't that why they're called dreams?  Grin
