Hey guys, I am Potato and I bring you the final of the favorite retro tracks in Mario Kart 7!

In two thrilling semi finals, we deleted half of the tracks. The other 8 got through, and will battle once more in the final! What is your favorite retro track in Mario Kart 7???

These 8 tracks made it to this final. Favorites for the win are DS Waluigi Pinball and WII Maple Treeway, but don't underestimate GBA Bowser Castle 1 and WII Koopa Cape! They also did really well in the semis.
GCN Daisy Cruiser and DS Airship Fortress are the underdogs in the final. Both tracks got just three votes in the semi final and got through thanks to a tiebreaker where DS DK Pass had to leave.

Everyone can vote! Guests, members, everyone! So don't forget to vote on your favorite retro track! You can't vote for multiple tracks, so choose wisely! I will count the votes somewhere on 11 or 12 December. (I want to do 12 December but I think I'm going to be one day earlier as with the semis) Make sure to vote before the deadline!

Well first of all I asked for your 'favorite', not for your 'favorites'. So I want you to choose one track. Also, you really can't decide which one you like the most? It should be possible, everyone has an ultimate favorite. Finally, you get one vote and one vote only. If you would be able to vote for four tracks because you have multiple favorites while everyone else votes just once, that would be unfair, right? Everyone gets ONE vote and no more.

Hey guys Potato here and here is the results of the final!!!

First of all, sorry for the unannounced delay of the results, I got new games for my 3DS (Super Mario Maker and 3D Land) and I wanted to play them for a few days first before continuing with Mario Kart 7. Sorry I didn't tell you this earlier but well yeah.

The results are counted and since the halftime results, only 4 extra votes were given!

And the winner of the favorite retro track in Mario Kart 7 is...: DS WALUIGI PINBALL!!!
DS Waluigi Pinball, who got into the final as the favorite for the win, got a big lead on the rest of the pack, he got 8 votes in total! Second and third place go to WII tracks Mushroom Gorge and Koopa Cape with 5 and 4 votes respectively. WII Mushroom Gorge was quite a surprise for second place.
GCN Daisy Cruiser was an underdog in this final, but still got fourth place with 3 votes!
A tied fifth place for third and second favorites GBA Bowser Castle and WII Maple Treeway who both got 2 votes.
Seventh place goes to WII Coconut Mall which got just one vote and DS Airship Fortress couldn't surprise us as the underdog didn't get any votes.

Now here are the final results, which is pretty much a top 16 of retro tracks (so a full list) with all the tracks ranked from favorites to worst tracks.
Note: I broke the tie between GBA Bowser Castle and WII Maple Treeway by looking how much votes they got in the semi final. GBA Bowser Castle got 5 votes while Maple Treeway got 6. So Maple Treeway got fifth and GBA Bowser Castle 1 got sixth.

Final results:
1. DS Waluigi Pinball (8 votes)
2. WII Mushroom Gorge (5 votes)
3. WII Koopa Cape (4 votes)
4. GCN Daisy Cruiser (3 votes)

Hey guys Potato here!

So I want to say some other stuff right now. Most of it does not have much to do with the favorite retro track polls, but I'm still saying it here.

Firstly, I'm going to make a similar poll to this one which will include all nitro tracks for Mario Kart 7. DON'T FORGET TO VOTE!!! We got about 25 votes in all three of the finals here, I want to get that number higher!
And I really want to get it higher for the big stage, where all nitro AND retro tracks will compete for the FAVORITE TRACK IN MARIO KART 7! I will do this after the nitro tracks competition has finished. Be sure to check these out!

Secondly, I didn't post any times lately, but that was because I got those new games for the 3DS which stopped me from playing Mario Kart 7. And I got Super Mario Maker, and I currently like that one more than Mario Kart 7, so I won't be sending in too many times for Mario Kart 7, but I will still do some polls and show up here moreoften than I did over the past days (when I showed up 0 times Tongue

)

Thirdly, I have a new type of ranking called the Console Ranking, which only counts for the retro tracks. So what I did was dividing the tracks into groups of from which console they were introduced, then counted how many votes they got in total (so semis + finals) and divided that by the number of tracks in a team.
1. WII 7.5 pts (30/4)
2. GBA 7 pts (7/1)
3. DS 5.83 pts (23/4)
4. GCN 4 pts (8/4)
5. SNES 1.5 pts (3/2)
6. N64 0.66 pts (2/3)

Now that I've made it, I think this isn't really a great idea for a ranking, so for the nitro tracks and the grand final I will do Cup rankings, where I will divide them into groups of 4 according to which cup they are in, and then decide which cup is liked most.

Lastly, I thought of making a new thread where everyone can share his/her tips for the game. I don't know if this already exists on the MK7 forum, but if not, I think we should make one, so everyone can learn how to get even better times!

So that's it! By the way, can you see how in my profile it says I also play darts? The World Championship of Darts is going to start today! Yay!
