Go into the turns as normal until you are about to finish the second drift in this area. Make sure to get really tight into this turn. Release a for a very brief moment and immediately start another drift to the right and hold left so you travel along the red and white strip. Near the end of the second turn start turning right again and go into the gap cut a bit to the left of the middle of the sign. Turn hard right while still holding R while in the air and use a shroom once you can get underneath the sign. Still holding R land as hard right as you can and try not to hit the wall. If you hit the wall you probably won't save any time. This takes a lot of practice and will take a while to learn probably. Good luck learning it. I'm still at ~33% clear rate.

Thanks guys! I've been very close to making it like 3 times already, so its progress.  

It's just practice/muscle memory, you can watch the WR and various videos performing it (live). If you're not interested in the track like me you can go for a wide setup. This loses time but you can get a free 01:44 with it. To do that release a blue mt at the middle of the second s-turn. Release A a bit so you're completely to the left, then drift in for the turn cut. It will always give you an angle that makes it across and timing the shroom is easy once you've practiced enough.

I have no idea how to do it the way the WR does it. If you want to learn that I would recommend you to keep trying and track down what you did every time. Your kart angle and position are key.

I've done it a few times, it's hard af for me.  I didn't know there were multiple ways to do it though?  The only way I can do it is by getting a grind before the cut.
