Btw, Tim, what do you think of the way J-Cop's wagon started rolling after we came close to lynching Yoshistar?

I think it's good. The Yoshistar wagon started very early on so it could have been easy to maintain that focus and not push any buttons elsewhere. That's partly why I picked up on Zarkov's finger pointing at eoJ and decided to look at eoJ's early posts. As a lot have said, if we have two people we think are about the same chance of being scum (and let's say even 50/50 for them both, as that's still far better than 3/11), then the more experienced person may well be the better bet. However, as I've said above, I think J-Cop will have a very difficult D2 if he is scum whereas YS's incoherence might cause problems. It might distract from bigger issues unless we get some good discussion going early.

Doesn't it say something when the bottom 3 postcounts (4 if you count Jon) are voting Yoshistar? That wagon doesn't have credible people on it.

Yoshistar quickly went from 2 votes to 9 votes, the speed with which it happened means he's either town or scum really had no problem bussing him. It's taken more string pulling by me to get Jon up to this point.

Vinnie's been wacky all game.

Sam, Walter, kyle, Tim, and Jon basically showed up and voted Yoshi, although Tim at least has reasons behind it.

That leaves TvK and Dan as credible people on the wagon, just how I view it. That's not enough to get me to flip off Jon.

This is an interesting point. If mafia have some players who post on the more frequent side it will make life much easier for those less invested to post less and stay under the radar. Also, Sam F should be here, he's UK and said he'd be on 16 hours from about 22:30 last night.

This way we at least have an option should there be a last minute development.

At the time I voted, I knew I wouldn't have many more opportunities to post much before end of day.  It was close between Joe and YS at that time, and Joe doesn't read suspiciously to me like he does to some of you guys.  If it's between Joe and YS, I'd rather lynch YS.

You have an opportunity now. Can you give something a little more definitive? Ignore eoJ, we're not talking about him. Why should we vote Yoshistar over you? Why is that a better move for the town?

I'm speaking generally here obvs, I have my vote on YS for now given reasons on previous page.

I currently think Vinnie, J-Cop, and Walter are maf. Somewhat leaning towards DB as well. And still dont trust Joe.

4 of those 5 mentioned are on Yoshi, and Joe hasnt voted yet despite many calls to. Maybe he hasnt read them, or is just ignoring them.

Either way, as Brett has said, half the votes on Yoshi are by sketchy people. I think any last minute move onto Yoshi would be unwise. He just doesnt seem like maf to me.

I haven't read his posts as closely as everyone else.  The main reason I'm keeping my vote on him right now is because it's me or him and I could really help the town in the long run.  I never make good reads on day one.  As I said before, I look at voting patterns and can usually make good conclusions based on that.  I know that my quality of play will increase greatly after today.  I can't say the same for him because I don't know much about him as a player.

How come you've been sitting on the fence about virtually every topic so far? I don't buy it. You say new players could be scum or town, you made promises you didn't keep, you said you wanted to save Joe but you wanted to lynch someone experienced, what gives?

My bad, I didn't ignore you intentionally, somehow I misread the post and thought you were asking others.

You not being on the wagon is kinda a bad thing, it makes me feel like you're afraid to pick a side because if they're wrong you look bad, to me that's image preservation and inherently scummy.

However with that said I don't think you're really likely to be scum, I'd say you're probably one of my top 5 townreads at this point. The reason is your passion for the game, you have your theories on stuff and while we've agreed to disagree you hold your beliefs with high importance (such as that whole charade with the blackmail code) that make me think your chance of being scum is very low.

For your votes I don't think I remember you voting any which way in particular so I won't comment on that.

I always sit on the fence day one.  When people jump to conclusions early, they lynch the wrong people.

What I said about new players is true.  If we're taking a shot in the dark, I'd rather lynch an experienced player.  After everything that happened with Joe, that one isn't a shot in the dark any more.  I have reasons to believe he is town.  Maybe I should have specified earlier, but I'm only viewing the new vs experienced thing when it's a random lynch, not an informed one.

I never made any promises, idk how I could have broken any...

If I had to list everyone in the order that I think are town to scum it would go something like this:

Very high chance to be town:

TvK
DBMK64
No control
Zac
Zarkov
ALAKTORN
Locky
Sportsguy
Vinnie

Probably town:

Joe
Fank
Web
Lafungo (slightly weaker than other three)

Everyone else I have as either good chance to be scum or haven't read enough to have an opinion on.

I specifically remember your opening posts where you promised to catch up later and then you did basically jack all the rest of the day. I don't think you fence sitting is townie in the slightest. We're never random lynching, random lynch is stupid so I don't know where you got that from.

Personally I feel your vote on Yoshistar was a bit uneducated, it looks like you just showed up in the topic apparently didn't read anything at all and voted him because he was the lead wagon.
