I'm on lunch at work so on my phone, and therefore can't offer much insight. I'm still keeping my vote on eoJ as he keeps proclaiming innocence without offering any substance on other players in the game. Crying Mafia over those who suspect you doesn't help the situation. Regardless, I'll give Brett's reply #625 a thorough read later, if it's going to be the case that we can gain more info about Joe and possibly another later then that's of course beneficial. I'll give some consideration to Walter and J-Cop when I get home assuming the day hasn't ended. In that sense I'm not going to vote for YS, I don't want someone to pounce or vote not realising we're one away from a majority vote.

J-cop Iso(lation for those unfamiliar with the tone)

J-Cop wrote on 05/14/16 at 15:43:38:
This post is to pay my respects to our deerly departed mayor.

I'm on break at work atm, I'll be able to read everything more carefully in 3 or 4 hours and then I'll start contributing.  Nobody screw things up too badly before then.

I swear there were a few others that did this as well?

(Big quotes with commentary is going to be reduced to Reply #)

For a "substance post" it contains 1 count of teaching someone to play the game, 1 count of applying meta, 1 count of mud slinging and one count of fluff.

What does everyone think about Racer727?

About J-Cop and Dan, I agree with what Brett said earlier about how we shouldn't lynch such a major player this early, as it could hurt us if it were a mislynch. Racer isn't contributing much, and his contributions have little substance, which makes him the perfect D1 lynch, in my opinion

Racer is behaving the exact same way I did the first time I played.  I was town and had no clue what I was doing, so I didn't post much.  I got lynched because of it.  Losing me didn't hurt the town too badly since I was basically useless, but a mislynch is a mislynch either way.  Racer is probably doing the same thing I did, testing the waters a little bit before he really jumps in.  We should at least keep him around until day 2 to see if he picks it up a little bit.

This combined with 198 feels like covering?  but it's more or less a weak point.

490 is probably the most towniest post of the lot. showing some thought into it. that's all blown to bits by

I get most of my reads based on how people vote.  If we lynch Joe and he is town, we lose him but have a good read on Clark and Tim, who seem to be pushing the Joe wagon the hardest right now.  If we lynch Yoshistar and he turns up town, it would give us a good read on TvK and maybe Lafungo.  If it's going to be one or the other, I'd rather not lose Joe this early.

^ Nothing has changed since I said that.  I'm gonna be out for a while, so I'm gonna vote now.

[vote] Yoshistar [/vote]

Can't remember if I commented on this post already (pretty sure I have).
I think the fact that #490 earns so many town points makes it even more bizarre on why he feels urgency in the vote

Other than that there's nothing much going against j-cop. still worth a drill at least

Okay the vote from Walter is suspicious, I'm not convinced he read enough to come to this conclusion, there's a chance he's mafia.

As for J-cop's bandwagon, in what way is he scummy? I haven't seen any signs yet that he might be mafia, in my eyes he's townie. This is going nowhere, I'm gonna die anyway in 6 hours at most, if not earlier....

In my case, Walter needs to post more, I don't trust him at the moment.

so your death is better than J-cops?

Actually, thinking back to what J-Cop has said. He is one of the only ones to back Joe, and actually advocates that it would be bad to lose him. (because a townie roleclaiming Day 1, and being vague, then being martyr is good for us /s).

Im pretty certain Joe is maf, (theres always room to be wrong) if Joe does turn out to scum, its worth looking into J-Cop Day 2. (seen as Yoshi seems to be the one being lynched)

Gonna say this again since people apparently are still confused. The reason we aren't lynching Joe has nothing to do with "he isn't likely scum", it has to do with the fact his role as a lookout is completely verifiable at night. There's no reason to lynch him when if he's scum he'll be unable to verify his role and if he's town he will be (or at least draw the block/kill, either of which is good for town).

Yoshistar who would you most like to lynch today (who you think actually has a likely chance of being lynched)?

I mean people like Eoj, Racer, etc. who people have shown interest in voting. Not people who haven't gotten any heat

I'd go for Walter, Eoj seems to be convinced as a townie, but that doesn't mean he's cleared.

Also Walter's not a good lynch either, I'll admit his one post does look bad but it's not enough in itself to convince me to lynch him over J-Cop or Yoshistar.

God dammit no, Joe's not remotely cleared. But he can clear himself at night. That's why we're not lynching Joe.

Let me sum this up again. Joe will either:

1. Be roleblocked by scum (good)
2. Be blackmailed by scum (good)
3. Be killed by scum (good)
4. Confirm/deny his role at night (good)

You lose all this by lynching him. If he's scum he'll simply be unable to confirm that he's the lookout and then we can look into lynching him. But in the event he's town he can clear himself.

Damn this goes fast...still reading, but i got a great idea.

I got the feeling i might get killed or blackmailed tonight. Maybe it is just my paranoia, but how do we talk to blackmailed people?
Is there any usual way of doing this?

If not here is what i propose.

1. If a blackmailed person has a suspect just do: vote "suspect"
2. if someone has a question for blackmailed person, form it in a way that an answer is yes or no
3. Answer of the blackmailed person for YES would be :
a) vote "person to answer"
b) unvote "person to answer"
c) i'm blackmailed
4. Answer of the blackmailed person for NO would be :
a) vote "person to answer"
b) unvote "person to answer"
5. Answer of the blackmailed person who is not sure what to say : just don't post.

Would this be good?

Strange because to me it seems like the opposite. Don't know why J-Cop would defend his mafia buddy rather than bus him, it would look legit too as there was already a movement against Eoj from yourself and Timothy.

You're right that it looks bad, but mafia J-Cop would probably recognise it's bad too

So what is your exact reason to vote Walter? The fact that he voted you? The fact that he apparently didn't read enough? Or simply because voting him is what you feel to be the easiest way to save yourself?

It's easy to talk to blackmailed people, just requires a bit of patience from the town. For example if Joe's blackmailed we can get info by asking him to vote who he watched, then vote the people he claims visited him (he can pick no lynch if nobody visited the target, or if his target was roleblocked).

I'll 100% make sure whoever is blackmailed will be able to communicate effectively with me.

For yes:
vote Yoshistar (shorthand YS, name kinda like YES)
For no:
vote No Control. Obvious right?
For unsure:
Just post “I am blackmailed” or whatever it is that you’re allowed to post. Proposing an answer should be not answering (not posting) is a terrible idea.

Let me give you a scenario:

Person A asks blackmailed at post #1000:

Hey blackmailed, do you think person B is suspicious?

Person C asks blackmailed at post #1078:

Hey blackmailed, do you think person D is completely honest in his post #1027

At the moment blackmailed persons see the questions, there might be several of them. How would you solve this?

I think a blackmailed person needs to vote/unvote person he is talking to and then give a sign for yes or no.

I think the chance of Walter being town is around =rand.

=rand basically means equal to the random chance that the RNG made him town.
