Yeah sportsguy has A nugget of wisdom, but what about his game so far is strong???

Fank's big gap in posting that a few questioned likely has to do with timezones more than anything else. I liked his recent big summary post, especially the remarks about the leading post from TYG as I also felt that moment seemed incredibly harsh/bandwagony for an entrance post.

Right now my strongest town lean is Brett because nearly all of his posts have been digging for information from members and he's kept several of the townies honest with questioning. Locky's analysis so far has been on point imo.

I'm heading to bed soon but I'll be back on early tomorrow to pick back up with the discussion.

@fank: Hmm… I agree with you those posts by TYG look like mafia. You’re still mafia to me, though. Kinda all of a sudden jumping in and trying too hard to clear yourself.

Locky wrote on 05/14/16 at 19:14:53:
Fank has made no posts between your earlier post and the one you have just posted. Why do you feel like he might be mafia now?

Maybe I had other things in my mind at the time (I wasn’t sure if Brett was mafia or not yet). I don’t really remember honestly. I think I’m just slowly getting up to speed.

Guys I was thinking… for the night actions, is it really normal to just let roles do their own thing? Shouldn’t we anonimately discuss (without role claims) what roles should be doing? Like, who the Bodyguard should protect, who to role block and shit… shouldn’t the whole town discuss that?

I have no idea what I even said before about reads but right now I’m getting mafia vibes from a bunch of people. :/ Lafungo, fank, TYG, sportsguy. I think I’ll stay with my fank vote for now.

maybe it's too early in the day for that sort of discussion, but normally you want the sheriff/roleblocker on someone suspicious and the bg/doctor/backer on someone who is widely seen as town. the lookout is interesting, because he can go either route. The lookout is mainly useful for confirming claims and maybe catching the blackmailer/janitor. so in that situation it's a whatever they think is best

If we discuss who the bodyguard should protect, maf will know not to target that person and will kill someone else at night.  Same with the doctor, if we announce who they will heal, maf will just target someone else.  Maybe there are scenarios I'm not aware of where it could benefit the town, but we don't want the enemy to know what we plan to do at night.

I also disagree with the idea that we should reveal what we'll do at night. Either ALAKTORN is a terrible mafia (which I highly doubt), or he meant that we list about 2-3 people for each action

The mafia can be lurking in these forums and read these messages XP
I think we should probably not do that...... Also, if we did that, everybody would  know who the mafia would be and the mafia would know who the townies are......

Errrr I wasn't the only one to make a random accusation because it was funny lol.  I saw all the ones on the first page, and saw Vinnie was posting a lot so I picked on him for fun before Brett knocked some sense into me.

Who do I think is mafia now?
I have no idea who could be mafia now, I might take back my opinion on Vinnie since a lot of experienced players are saying he's probably town.
Dan, sportsguy, and fank all seem like potential mafia since those seem to be a lot of people's assessments, although a lot of people say Dan's town. Either way I don't know if I see any of them on mafia together though,  so idk. I guess I'll see how the rest of day one plays out before I decide.

A general pool would be decent to give those people ideas of who to protect. But at the same time it would as narrow it down for the mafia, so it kinda seems like a bad idea too. Idk

Okay, I've read over the thread. My takeaway is this: post little or keep quiet, suspicion or deadweight.
I really don't know what to think right now, so I'm standing by my decision of not lynching.

Like J-Cop said, until I have an opinion or strong thoughts, I probably can't add much to the discussion.
Vinnie and Brett look like townies, or else the Mafia members would be screaming at then. Smiley
I can't really get on for 15-18 hours for personal reasons, but I'll post if I can.

Clarifications (may or may not have been asked of me in PMs, may or may not have been asked after the beginning of Day 1):

- Nobody was given any Night 0 action.
- As indicated in the role PMs in the OPs, Mafia may only post on their forum during Night phases. Otherwise, they may only view their forum. Same with the Medium role.
- The Mafia were not allowed to formulate any strategies during Night 0, because it was meant to be a phase for answering questions and making sure everything was working properly, not for giving one faction a head start over the other.

Damn, am i that easy to read?  Grin. Seriously you hit it right on. I feel much more comfortable being on town side.

Maybe you're telling the truth, but to me this reads like maf trying too hard to sound like a townie.

Just got back from the bar. We have a friend of ours visiting from Chicago, so I apologize for my lack of posting.

Like I said about 5 pages ago, no lynching on Day 1 isn't the best idea in the world. Tyler and I both agree that the first day is practically a crap shoot in trying to lynch a mafia member, but you sort of have to roll the dice instead of laying back and letting the night actions decide what happens.

There's a vote on me, and that's perfectly fine. I haven't cast my vote yet because, like I said, it's a crap shoot, but I still want to have at least a little bit of information instead of just throwing darts and seeing what sticks.

I also think it's kind of important that nobody role calls yet. Probably hold off on all of that until at least Day 3 or 4.

If anyone wants anything out of me, by all means ask away. I'll certainly have more time to post during the week as opposed to weekends (especially with a friend in town). But I'll try to answer as quickly as possible.  Smiley
