Ofc my knowledge of the history of MKDD TTs will be worse than yours because we are newcomers, can't really blame us for that. However I'm pretty sure I know quite a bit actually

Plus so what if people don't know the history? Then they will vote for people THEY think deserve in the hall of fame.

So I looked over baseball's Hall of Fame model. A player must have been active for at least 10 years and retired for 5 or more years before they can be nominated. As for election, a small group of people actually vote on this.
If we tried adopting this model I would like to see at least 5 years of activity and 2 years of retirement. Moreover, an hall of fame board of 5 people might be good. It was these logistically answers I was most hoping to receive in this thread.

P.S. sorry Richard and Andreas. Stop being active so you can enter the Hall of Fame Tongue

I dont think you need to be inactive.. Metallica members are in the RockNRoll hall of fame, and yet they are still active Smiley

It should be based on what you do or have done for the community, being a past champ for instance, or bringing up new techniques, or allowing this board to exist, updating the PP etc

Thats why I think Alex Penev should be on every MK's hall of fame Smiley

Hmm for hall of fame i can nominate dozens of ppl but ill try to stick for 5!

1. Raphael Segas - the one and only!
2. Marijn Jongbloed - one of the best i've ever met if not the best, he destroyedboth me and andreas in multiplayer even though he didnt had played for years
3. Vince v/d fluit - we had some great rivalry in the past, AkA mushroom king
4. David Grard - one of the early champsx his vids helped me a lot
5. Last but not least, Hendrik Bunde himself, biggest challenge i've ever faced in my mkdd career!

And ofc lots of more

My top 5 would be :

- Raphaël Segas (50hz beast and coolest player I ever met)
- Marius (Holy Moly, 60hz champ for a very long time)
- John Steel (another beast, inspired me a lot)
- Andrew (fastest fingers in the world)
- Richard (because he has to be in it, it's so obvious)

Also I could have mentioned Andreas, or Hendrik, or all the crazy Dutchmen (Vincent, Aron, Marijn, Mike, and so on), or Alex Penev Cheesy

I also think I stand a chance thanks to a-tech Smiley

Now that you mention it a period of inactivity before nomination sounds quite ridiculous. An MKDD career, like a music a career, can last much longer than a sports career. However, I still think a minimum length of activity on the PP should be a requirement for nominations.
Some of the nominations so far are great. Maybe Andreas, Richard, Andrew, Alex, and myself can form the election panel for the hall of fame.
