Will GCN Baby Park Sub 1 minute?

Now that the last 2 minute track has been subbed, what do you think about subbing 1 minute? On dBP? This is the only track that could possibly sub, unless we get another short/above 2 minutes track in the next DLC Pack. The first WR was 1:05.145, and has already been beaten by a lot, considering the track (1:03.253). There aren't really that many more possible strats, it seems, though. But then again, there are years to come of this game, and we already cut off 2 seconds in a month.

Maybe in years it would happen. It doesn't seem possible right now though.

Shaving off 3 seconds from a 1-minute-track is probably harder than cutting 6 seconds from a 2-minute-track. We have seen a lot, but considering how simple Baby Park is, I guess as long as there won't be a drastic strat change, it will cap at about 1'01 or maybe 1'00"5.

Yeah, very true. Even on tracks like rDKJ, where lots of new strats were found (which isn't possible on dBP), it still didn't cut off that much.

Zomothy is correct. NISC = "No-item shortcut". Which means any shortcut taken without use of a mushroom. In the case of dBP that would be cutting through the grass on each end with a miniturbo + hop. Some other tracks have NISCs as well, such as the several places on dYC where an smt + hop can cut parts of the track.
