No one had really mentioned Toad's rMC2 in a while, and I knew it would cause massive uproar if it was removed, so I was going to wait to see if more info became available. If the community agrees that it should be moved to the Pending times list, and off the WR site, then that might force Toad to provide proof.

I 100% agree with mkw style. It makes no logical sense for someone to have 2 times in the SAME top 10. It's only right for the person's fastest time to be counted. The top 10 times should be by 10 different people. The mk7 style means that the top 10 could consist of times from 5 different players. It's just silly imo

The thing though is that while MK7 style allows the possibility for 5 players to "hog" the rankings by getting both a G and NG time in the same Top 10, it also allows for the 10 actual fastest times to be displayed since the combined chart does exactly what it means: combining the fastest times from both categories into a Top 10. Personally, I find it hard to understand MKW style since it seems to imply that G can double for NG in a combined Top 10 due to G having "priority", despite the fact that the MK7 PP (the actual PP site, not the Top 10s on this forum) currently does not have combined charts for players to submit their G times for, and that they may have a NG time that would be in the Top 10 if their G time didn't "override" it. I understand where people are coming from in that only 1 PR is ever saved on your game per track, but that didn't stop players from making an alt license to submit their time from the other category (whichever one it was) to the online leaderboards before WFC was shutdown in the case of MKW, right? Much like the way some MK7 players get a 2nd cart if they want to have ghosts for both categories.

Honestly though, when you really think about it the purpose of the combined rankings is that some tracks allow you to get G times (usually not driven well, the player's overall skill level/skill on a particular track are taken into account) that are close to well driven NG times and vice versa. However, if one time ultimately has priority over the other then you'd think everyone would just play G until NG would no longer be in reach of it, thus exterminating the need for combined tops. Alas, we need to allow people a choice as not everyone cares to play G...

Tbh though, when I made the MK7 style combined tops back in 2013 when I managed the rankings, it was mostly because I wasn't aware of the MKW style
