For the poll I've given you what I figured were the best 8 options, though for the sake of completion I've listed them all in this message.

Personally, it was between two insane barrier breakers for me. Guillaume's KB2 flap of 9"99 being the most symbolical barrier and Sami's MC1 55"97 being the one that involved by far the most effort. Because the latter criterium remains more important to me, I'm gonna have to go with the MC1 5-lap. The best PAL WR for me being Guillaume's 12"07 on GV1, because I actually didn't expect the 'perfect' 12"08 triple tie there to ever be broken.

PAL
GV1 flap 12"07 Guillaume Leviach
BC2 5-lap 1'40"73 Guillaume Leviach
KB1 flap 9"13 Guillaume Leviach
BC3 5-lap 1'29"25 Guillaume Leviach
KB2 flap 10"31 by Guillaume Leviach

NTSC
MC1 5-lap 55"97 Sami Cetin
MC1 flap 10"83 Sami Cetin
DP1 5-lap 1'08"54 Guillaume Leviach
DP1 flap 13"28 Guillaume Leviach
BC1 5-lap 1'25"37 Guillaume Leviach
MC2 5-lap 1'01"90 Florent Lecoanet
GV2 5-lap 57"86 Guillaume Leviach
DP2 5-lap 1'22"78 Guillaume Leviach
DP2 flap 16"33 Guillaume Leviach
BC2 5-lap 1'37"69 Guillaume Leviach
CI2 5-lap 1'02"61 Guillaume Leviach
MC4 5-lap 1'29"90 Guillaume Leviach
MC4 flap 17"54 Christian Wild
DP3 5-lap 1'13"43 Guillaume Leviach
KB2 flap 9"99 Guillaume Leviach
GV3 5-lap 1'12"27 Sami Cetin
GV3 flap 14"28 Sami Cetin
VL2 5-lap 46"21 Guillaume Leviach & Ha Nyan
VL2 flap 8"59 Guillaume Leviach
RR 5-lap 1'23"74 Guillaume Leviach
RR flap 16"53 Guillaume Leviach

I'm highly surprised (and a bit disappointed) to realize I'm the only one who drove PAL WRs in 2014... Shocked Sad

On the PAL side I'd say 12"07 for the same reason (9"13 and 10"31 are still beatable by a few hundreds, and the 5-laps are not maxed at all, even if the tracks don't help for better improvements at all). But I'm 100% convinced the best WRs were driven in NTSC this year.

According to me the most impressive ones would be:

MC1 55"97 (even if that sub, in terms of Sami skills, is "less hard" than the PAL one)
DP1 13"28 (personal feeling, because the cut was huge)
MC2 1'01"90 (because a 1'01" just had to be done... even if 1'00" should happen too)
GV2 57"86 (half a second win on a short track, and a cool sub IMO)
MC4 17"54 (massive cut with a very well performed and hard new strat)
KB2 9"99 (obvious, eh?)

This said it's hard not to vote for the KB2 sub. It's a WR I'd still have been looking after if I had not hit it while being M+ ASR.

MKDD is not technical at all

Gaming Guru Extraordinaire (© Sargoth) – SMK '09, '13, '14 POY, former #1 (PAL: August 2013 - May 2017 / NTSC: March '14 - April '17) – 80/80 M+ PRs

The feeling of being a world champion is intoxicating, and I didn't want to ever not be the world champion again. Then I realized it didn't matter that much since I had nothing more to prove and achieved my most important goal(s).

Me too, I had no idea you were the only one who had set a WR on PAL. Has that ever happened before with anyone else?

Anyway, despite Marios multiple WRs across PAL and NTSC, im gonna have to go with Samis MC1 5lap. It seems he mustve sacrificed his thumbs to get it!

I also voted Sami's 55 barrier breaker. Something like that a few years ago was deemed impossible, and I still believe it. 55?!!? I feel no way... Smiley

Sami's 55, the 9.99 is special but to me effort trumps symbolism
