Many people cannot register here...

Recently, a lot of MK8 people have wanted to join the MB to submit times (since YahooGroups is usually considered too troublesome/buggy). However most of them don't even receive the e-mail verification which is required to finish the registration.

I know the MB has had several problems in the past in that aspect, but I can't find anything about this specific issue in the archives. Anyone as an idea as to why this is happening now? And will there be an alternative for those people to eventually register through admin assistance. If it's any relevant to the matter, many of the concerned people are Gmail users.
