Thankfully there's hope for the database. I'm working on programming a site overhaul with a new database, and if we can get the funding it may be on a new server. Hopefully (cross your fingers) the new site won't have these issues. Cool

Whether I'm imagining wading through frosting in Sweet Sweet Canyon to take a bite of that giant donut, or picturing myself, shrunken down, making my way through Waluigi's pinball machine, there's something rejuvenating about the game that provides a nice reminiscence of the halcyon days gone by.

From what I've heard, nobody knows exactly what causes the database to fail. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) My guess is the web host this site uses is old and unreliable, and fails randomly (maybe it gets put under pressure from e.g. too many visits to the site).
