I'm mainly the one handling stuff like this, but it doesn't seem like an easy fix. And I'm out of the city on vacation without a laptop/computer right now, so this may be a while. Sorry about this all. This issue will probably take a lot of investigating and work. Won't be as easy as flipping a switch, unfortunately.

So... I realized that someone had recently changed some database configurations, possibly in an attempt to stabalize the site, and some of these configurations were invalid and the database failed to properly start up. I removed the configuration entries that were invalid and the site has been working fine as far as I can tell for a couple hours so far
