For all of those people who have trouble with or hate Yahoo Groups. And the people who might find this more convenient too. Submissions sent to Yahoo Groups will still be updated.
If we missed a time(s) or made an error in updating a time(s), please leave a message in the 'Times updating thread'.
Basic Template for Times Submission.
Due to the fact Yahoo Groups has been "up"graded to its Neo version, the parser is no longer able to recognise the format used to make times updating a lot slicker. It has now made times updating incredibly time consuming to do, as I've just spent the past 20 minutes updating 23 submissions inputting certain information to get an update for you and Rookie for the news.
So, the updating staff are trying to solve the problem, at least temporarily if Alex is able to reprogram the parser, by diverting the traffic of submissions onto here and submitting times onto this thread, and to speed up the process, the updating staff would appreciate the fact if you could submit your times in a particular format (the one which the parser has been familiar with with so long). It is only two lines long, and should take as much time as it does opening a new tab to access your email:
Quote:Date: Mon Sep 2, 2013 12:56am
From: Your name <Yourmailaccountname>
List of times (preferably track name before the time); each time goes on a new line.
The day and month has to be the first three letters, start with a capital letter and be the English. For example, submitting a time on the 10th October would be "Thu Oct 10, 2013". The comma must be issued after the date.
The clock is also 12 hour so am or pm should be included, without a space between that and the time.
Truncated days and months will be issued here, if you need assistance:
Quote:Monday = Mon
Tuesday = Tue
Wednesday = Wed
Thursday = Thu
Friday = Fri
Saturday = Sat
Sunday = Sun
January = Jan
February = Feb
March = Mar
April = Apr
May = May
June = Jun
July = Jul
August = Aug
September = Sep
October = Oct
November = Nov
December = Dec
Full track names and abbreviations (first letters of each word of a track) in either PAL or NTSC-U can be used. It is recommended to include the console the track was originally from on retro tracks (example: DS Airship Fortress) or to include the R, standing for retro, if you use abbreviated track names (example: rAF or RAF). One or the other, or both ways can be used in one entry.
Also, please don't put in a fake date (I don't think the exact time is in fact required but still needs to be entered), because then the dates on the Players' Page will not show correct information.
Player Example: Quote:Date: Mon Sep 2, 2013 1:10am
Name: Lee Robbins <leer1997@gmail.com>
Toad Circuit 1'19"652
NBC 1'47"152
rDC 1'26"949
GCN Dino Dino Jungle 1'51"996
Furthermore, the group will still be monitored for those who do not have an account here, but this may not be looked at as much as here, so we are sorry if your time is overlooked! A news update will be issued in the upcoming hours or days to notify those who do not come onto the forums.
For NEW Players: Quote:Leone wrote on 09/02/13 at 11:33:26:...so I should wait a few days to join? Was gonna do it just now, but...
That's a good thing to point out. It's still absolutely fine for new players to submit their first batch of times using this. Nothing really should differ from any other submission from a player who is already on the Players' Page. The only optional difference would be to add any other extra information that you would like to have displayed when people view your timesheet (i.e. country/city).
Sorry for this inconvenience. If there is anything important missed out, please let me know and I will include it in this post.
And to updaters: when an update has been completed you can just post here letting everyone know, and will help stop confusion over what times have been updated and what has not.

Correct date format.
