The world's not over because some hacker hacked Mario Kart 8. The world will be over, however if it is made easily distributable for the masses. The person with the knowledge to hack is not the problem, the person with that power is. Guns aren't dangerous, the people that have access to them and have a bad intent for them are the problem and this same common sense can be applied to hacking.
