The main reason it was easy to improve with it is that Pipe Frame is easier to use at rDP3. EDIT: Improved my PRs at rRRy, MW and SA with Pipe Frame, too, but it's barely faster on all of them.

Anyone know exactly when/why Pipe Frame is better than a max-speed kart?

It seems speed is of little importance. My speed seems almost identical to my ghosts using Gold Kart etc. But it is slightly slower.
I thought maybe it's accel or MT would make it better at bunny hopping. This isn't the case with shrooms (tested on rDDD's straight path at the start), but I seem to do better hopping from MTs. (That's not as easy to test, not sure.)
It does have a definite improvement for turning sharper on drifts. However this also means it must turn more (more turn in same amount of time) to get MTs or SMTs, so that's actually a disadvantage wherever a drift must be held extra for a SMT, e.g. first turn on MKS.

Slim tires give the same accel and traction boost, but have no MT increase and cost only .25 speed.

Yeah, I know they are different types of bodies. I just haven't done a close comparison to see what's actually different about using them, since all of them have exactly the same stats. What have you noticed is the difference between them?

I noticed when I used an ATV that it was somewhat awkward, but couldn't tell exactly what was different. Can you?
Also, how is an outward drifting bike worse than a kart? Smaller hitbox for coins?

Yeah, I figured the hitboxes would be different, but as far as handling/maneuverability are concerned, I thought they would be the same...

It seems to handle a bit nicer, and the smaller hitbox didn't bother me. (any coins picked up while drifting will be almost the same with bikes since you're moving sideways.)

I improved my time from 1:43.5xx to 1:42.5xx using the Pipe Frame, but I hate MKS too much to play it anymore. I am curious if I could get that fast using the normal TT karts, though.
