I'm having trouble wrapping my head around how exactly this discussion of hoarding came about.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but not submitting a WR to the leaderboards until a satisfactory time is achieved was done
quite often in MKWii, and was even encouraged by some to prevent hassle for the WR recorders -- so that they wouldn't have to record minuscule improvements.
An example of this would be my 1'47"566 and 1'47"200 times. I had no intent to stop playing after improving to 1'47"566, so why submit the time? I continued the TT session, and less than an hour later, improved to 1'47"200. And no, that time was not submitted either, because I knew I'd improve shortly thereafter, which I did early this morning:
Improved to
1'47"016 (WR for a few hours) ->

1'46"883 (WR for less than an hour) ->

1'46"733 (current WR) ->

It makes absolutely
zero sense to me how any of that can be construed as "hoarding" and
especially how it can spark a discussion of whether or not the aforementioned times should even be counted

(On the contrary, MK8 WRs can't be "counted" as one pleases [or] determined by bias. The correct word in this instance would be SR; Site Record)
