Question: Where does ALAKTORN come from in terms of meaning?

He wanted to stylize "I Like Porn" into ALAKPORN and typo'ed it
  16 (37.2%)
He was looking for an anagram for "Kart Loan"
  4 (9.3%)
He actually typed random letters and it gave birth to ALAKTORN
  10 (23.2%)
He's a real deported Alak-born guy away from his family
  3 (6.9%)
Zarkov created ALAKTORN, so please don't ask him to justify
  10 (23.2%)

This is a thread I've been thinking about for ages, so here it is. Where does your nickname come from, what does it mean, etc.

And enjoy the poll, by the way. Yeah, option 4 makes sense:

The feeling of being a world champion is intoxicating, and I didn't want to ever not be the world champion again. Then I realized it didn't matter that much since I had nothing more to prove and achieved my most important goal(s).

I voted the Zarkov option.

So did I Smiley

My nickname was supposed to be Yoshi Star, but Youtube didn't accepted space in names then... now they do though Roll Eyes
It all started with Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, you were able to save a team with your own setting and a team name. (I believe I did it in 2007?)
Yoshi is my favorite character and I like stars, so two words. My nickname was still Pikachu until 2010 (not much before I created a YT account), then I switched to Yoshi Star in December. But thanks to YT (in a positive way afterwards) I changed it to Yoshistar. The 95 was intentional, I honestly wasn't aware of the existence of Yoshistar on Youtube Grin but there are many more, so one day we'll take over the world! Smiley

I still use my old nickname in some games (Perfect Dark, OoT (PIKACHu, I was like 5 or something, lol), my Mii is called Pikachu. A little tribute to those glory days of gaming :3

I guess tif is created by Zarkov as well? Smiley

I once watched Alaktorn play MK7 on stream and I'm quite positive that he was constantly swearing in the Alak-language. At least, I certainly heard some Austroasiatic influences.

My nickname comes from my first name and last initial. Simple.

My original name on the board was Minnesnowta. I'm from Minnesota, it snows, do I need to explain more?

Some of my favorite board names came about 6 years ago when I changed my name to Fireconserver (opposite of Guilherme Arantes's Firewaster). Several people followed suit with random fire nicknames such as: Fire in the Hole, Firestarter, Fireplace, and there may have been more, but I don't remember exactly (maybe Fire Hydrant?). We all just wanted to be like Guilherme!
