[5:56:59 PM] Blaze: the game's internal timer isn't that precise
lmao
It's really dishonest to take something I said completely out of context, all while at the same time purposefully not letting my entire argument be shown. This really does nothing more than show a weakness in your argument, where you have to misportray someone else to make your point more strong.
I was one the first person to suggest banning Zom, so I'm not really defending him. The only difference is that I wanted him off the site for another reason (his posts were disrupting a lot of threads, and everything he wrote came across as really annoying). All I decided to do was be the first person to admit that it was bullshit to say that his 1:51.080 on TF was faked for no reason. I assume people had a really strong confirmation bias to begin with, so any "proof" they could find to be used against Zom was good enough in their eyes.
It is true that the game's timer isn't consistent to most real-time stopwatches. For example, Fox's 1:49.588 on TF is actually a 1:49.17. The hilarious thing is that people were seriously thinking that using a stop watch and eyeballing the start/stop areas of the run was enough to prove that Zom's run was actually around a 1:51.3. Sure, there is the potential that Zom "faked" his time, but you can't be sure until he goes and uploads his record to the database. I wasn't saying for sure that his run was real, I was saying what I thought made the most sense, which was that he happened to set a completely normal time after a lot of hard work. Zom is still definitely too young to be posting on this site, so I don't there's any reason for him not to be banned by this point.
