Not only it's almost impossible to get a boost that saves time on VL2, but even if someone ever managed to get some advantage from it, this would totally ruin the purity of the only 100% non-NBT track...

Im with Jamie on this. Ok Fenner started this thread, so its doomed from the start. But since when has trying out new strats on old courses been a bad thing? The "purity" which Mario speaks of went out the window the day NBT was discovered.

Im sure you guys wouldnt of tried the strat Mick (was it Mick?) discovered on KB2 because to you it would seem "stupid and pointless".

But KB2 is completely different (and impressive IMO), more of a sliding and boosting track anyway whereas VL2 is more rapid jumping and slightly less possible boost spots if you do a quick count while on the WR route.

It will always be allowed, that is never in question. We just personally prefer playing this as is, at least for now.

Of course it's allowed, it's just... stupid. Performing NBT on VL2 is a waste of time unless you're an average driven who doesn't perform ANY island jump, and wants to cut the snow part between the walls at the end of the track.

Yeah, there was no question of whether or not it should be allowed, it was just a question of why you'd even want to do it since it doesn't help you at all.

I NBT that track just to keep stability since I'm awful at tracks with ice. I don't do it because it saves any time whatsoever.

And for the question at hand, I really don't see anywhere on the track where you could even build a boost to save time. And even if you could, where would you release it? It's a question of zz'ing through a straightaway enough to build, then finding a place to release it, which I just don't see. You're jumping too frequently to release a boost.

Once again it's useless for the WR strat since you have to start the lap jumping above the water, so a startboost would require to be much more on the right, and lose some time.
