CDM 2013 Streaming Schedule - Watch CDM Live!

As many of you (should?) know, CDM will be livestreamed for the first time in its history. You can check this on twitch:

Here is the schedule (Paris time) :

Tuesday 08-20 - Time Trial: groupstage starts at 9 PM, directly followed by the final phase.

Wednesday 08-21 - Grand Prix 150: groupstage starts at 2 PM and will probably end around 7 PM, directly followed by the round of 16. Quarterfinals are expected to start at 9 PM, followed by semifinals then finals until 2-3 AM max.

Tuesday 08-22 - Battle Mode: same as GP.

Friday 08-23 - Match Race: same as Battle and GP, but should end a bit earlier (around 1 AM).

We can't 100% guarantee those schedules will be exactly respected, but we'll do our best! Wink

We're dreaming about a dual screen with both screen split AND players reactions at the same time. We'll do it if the internet connection has a good bandwidth enough there.

I think that was Drew Blumfield doing one-try Time Trials? I watched him practice a bit on MC1, DP1, and GV1 before doing runs on BC1 and MC3 (which even included some NBT).

I guess Drew is playing again now, it's showing his name, the track is RR (he drove a pretty good GV3 a minute ago), but there is no sound now, and the stream isn't going as smooth.

EDIT: Watching him play CI1 with NBT inspired me to break out my ZSNES and PAL SMK ROM to try it myself... after a few tries and adjusting my NBT line I just got a 1'00"67 (still a bit sloppy). Cheesy

Update: 1'00"33 on CI1 (still inconsistent splits; can definitely get under a minute), and also a 1'11"42 during a quick CI2 session (not even doing the wall gap NBT in every lap; I can't depend on my emulator controller to produce boosts on straights)

Aron is up now; I was really horrible with BC3 on PAL...
He's really putting up a good MC1 at the moment.

They must be playing well into the night over there in France, it would be 1 AM there as I write this.

I only saw the results of rounds 2-6 or something, but he was only .500 at the time. Neo's feather on GV3 falling just short proved tragic.

Sami ended Florent's streak at GP 150cc (he won the last 4 years at CDM if I remember correctly what the "commentator" said after the final). The score was 5:4 cups, so pretty close. Florent won on RR doing a crazy feather shortcut (I'm an SMK noob as far as SCs are concerned Tongue

), but Sami finished in 2nd and got enough points to win the deciding cup.

It was interesting to watch, but I won't stay awake till 3:30 am every day Cheesy

Congratulations to Sami indeed, it's a monumental achievement to defeat Neo in GP after so many years of his dominance. Smiley

I'll fill you in later Tom, there was some really good races. One of my favourite moments was a CI1 race between Neo and Sami, Neo ahead coming round the last corner on lap 2/3 and Sami, not far behind, fires a red; Neo NBTs the dirt, wallrides and dodges the red as expected, but then turns out perfectly onto the straight to block Sami, who is incoming at much higher speed and Neo carries on as normal. Excellent piece of intelligent driving.

My favourite moment was bc2, where sami had gained a large lead, but florent had a feather with two laps to go, ready to pull off that hard shortcut at the end: as it turned out, sami won by a tiny margin even though florent managed to count the lap Cheesy

Commiserations to kvd in the 3rd place play-off though, he only had to win one more gp, and had a sizeable lead in two of them before he started getting incredibly bad luck and a bit of choking (dp2 last turn was rather funny).
