No PR yet, but I'm still having fun. It feels like a trip down memory lane. I'm reliving the emotions: the exhilaration of hearing the "ping ping ping ping ping!", the unsuspected laptimes, the annoying half-a-second delay between selecting "restart" and it actually responding... But most of all the frustration, of course.
For instance, I've been trying to sub 3 minutes on RR (for the first time in seven years). I get in a flow, I get 3'00"050. So close! Come on, almost there...
In the next two hours, in the midst of countless messed-up runs, I tie it, I get 3'00"012 (ffs!), I get 3'00"043...
But then that magical moment, when you say to yourself that you're giving it one last try. You get a good first lap, a decent second lap, and you know that you can make it with a good last lap. Your hands are sweating, you heart is pounding, but you have to go all out. And it goes well. You cross the finish line, you hear the music and you see...
