This was what I was thinking of but had trouble articulating it. Would be nice to have a PR history too. I believe MKDS had something similar but I guess that would require a ton of work...

I think Timur's standards will work well for the time being, and we are looking forward to implementing them to the site. A few tracks need standards adjustments though, but we would need somebody knowledgeable about these tracks to help us. I'm talking about NBC and rMG for example, but if anybody wants to contribute on any track they'd be welcome.

Reply #40 - 11/11/13 at 05:28:46 Just to know, how many years after the releasing of MKW were the standards established for it? @Nicola If you consider the gliderless shortcut which is faster than the glider one (but incredibly hard), then 1:32 looks good. Without it, Somen is certainly able to get splits like 32.6 - 30.2 - 30.2 I think.

I am unfamiliar with typical God time standards. I don't know what is too weak or too strong. I will do a rough analysis tomorrow and see what you think of my first interpretations. I will do it for all 7 tracks that I've held the WR on (rMT G to be excluded, right?)

The typical God time is supposed to be a really hard time that seems to be almost impossible, but which is still possible with a "God" run (). When creating it, we might also consider the possibility of new strats, if possible.

Potential: Lap 1 strat doesn’t seem absolutely perfect. Lap 2 + 3 improvable.
Questions: The last turn has been grinded similar to BC’s last turn. I might be a little bit off on how much it saves. Also, it’s better to have Coco’s verdict.

Wuhu Loop ~Semi-Accurate~

Current WR: 1:23.189

Potential: Lap 2 and a tiny amount on lap 3

Mario Circuit ~Mostly Accurate~

Questions: What is the Barrel Train potential? More confusingly, what is the impact of the faster "glitch"? I'm seriously fucking tired of this faster glitch sc and all the disorientation it has caused. It doesn't make sense to set the God standard to the broken potential this "glitch" creates when: 1. We still can't decide as a community glitch (ban) or sc (allow); 2. We don't know the true potential this allows. Is it 1:49? 1:50? A God standard based on pure guessing is not a God standard.
GOD: (Red Monster + Regular SC): 38.350 - 37.020 - 37.020 = 1:52.390

Bowser's Castle ~Semi-Accurate~

Current WR: 1:58.202
