I've noticed a general pattern with low tricking on slow ramps. That if you are drifting left into the trick, it is fastest to do a right trick, and vice versa. I think the explanation I was satisfied with why this is, is because when you are drifting left, the bike is getting tilted that way. A right trick +a left angle would be to force the nose of the bike downwards, so basically, the nose hits the ground much sooner, reducing airtime. One might argue that if you do a left trick instead, the back of the bike would also get shoved to the ground, and would equally reduce airtime. That might be true, but for some reason in my tests, the opposite direction trick was still generally faster, so there must be a reason. A great example is the MMM blue ramp, the way the TAS does it.
