The earliest-set staff ghost was on the 19th of February, while the latest was on the 29th of the same month.

The Toad's Factory and DS Delfino Square expert staff times were set on a Taiwanese Wii, making them the only staff ghosts to be set on a Wii with its country marked as something different to that of Japan. SNES Ghost Valley 2, N64 Mario Raceway, and N64 Bowser Castle's expert staff ghosts have no region information, though they were overwhelmingly likely set in Japan; this might indicate they were set on different consoles, however.

Those are some of the strongest staff ghosts, so I wouldn't be surprised if some kart staff fanatics went out of their way and thru a distance to get a run into the game

How did you arrive at this number?
Taking the id of the last person to join and subtracting the amount of players is only going to get the amount of potential id numbers that no one has, because they were either skipped over, banned, or wanted to be removed.

I know MKDD had a lot of numbers skipped, with a few cheaters in the very early days, but definitely no where near 400.
