Easier said than done. Often times, as was my case in MK7, you play it a bit and then realize, "Wow, this game is absolute shit," and don't ever play it again.

Yes.

Wasn't too big a fan of 7, but 8 looks like what 7 should've been. That's not really a plus or a negative, just that I expect to be better than 7. Plus I mightily prefer console Karts over handhelds. In anycase my only worry is still the coin system. If the limit has been up to from 10 to 30 that worry goes away, but if it's still 10...that such a stupid mechanic.

Max speed should be 10, but allow me to hold more than 10 as a reserve.

Is anything known about that yet? Is it still 10?

I know. I got MK7 3 weeks after the release, but even though I've only been playing for about 6 months total, I have only beaten few of the WR's set on the day after the release.

I hope that there is an unlimited amount of coins, but each coin increases your total speed by 1/20 bar for the rest of the run.

In the second quarter of 2014, Nintendo sold more than half a million Wii U's. That's 219 percent more than the second quarter of 2013.
That is mostly due to Mario Kart 8, of which 2,82 million copies were sold in the first month.
80 percent of the buyers already owned a Wii U.
Also due to Mario Kart 8, there was a 326 percent bigger profit by selling Wii U software, then the same quarter last year.
