The WR history site says Somen used slick in his current CCL WR. If that's a typo on that site, then my bad and I'll correct the post if he used something different.

Also thank you for clarifying monster not red monster.

WS??? Are you serious? This combination is just terrible and much slower for water tracks (CCL and WS). It's impossible to get a WR with this.

I still assume high speed glider has better way. DH and rMC2 combos must be a joke. Wide combo works as a handicap on DH cause of Balloon boost. And sky handling is importance on rMC2.

If you look at the WR history you'll see a pattern, somebody sets a time using a fast glider and then people slaughter it with flower glider, then some time passes and the WR becomes weak, and other new strats are discovered (corner cut, mushroom boosts etc), and somebody is able to get the WR with fast glider again, but then it's just thrashed by handling glider. With the new strat you could take WR even with the fast glider but it's not worth it imo, you need to go too wide with it

I don't think I gave in to Chikuten because of glider's difference.

This was caused by some other reasons like trampoline boosts, SSMT, and my poor drifting Smiley

Adromaster and Somen more improved the gliding with slow glider, but my way is also improvable imo.

Because we can't even be sure that Slick is better than Gold wheels for that track... MVT is just saying that because Somen performed the WR with Slicks... That doesn't prove shit.
I'm sure that if Somen had improved his own WR with gold wheels after that, MVT would have said Gold wheels are the most logical/best wheels to use on CCL Roll Eyes

It's not a troll thread, it is what I believe to be the OPTIMAL combos for every track. Can they be changed or adjusted with good reasoning, future testing, new discoveries, etc? Sure.

I think people are not understanding the key word of "optimal". This list wasn't compiled thinking which combo is easiest, or which combo can get a fast time without much effort. When I made the list I was thinking, if someone were to make a TAS aiming for the fastest possible times, then what combinations would be best to achieve that goal.

I don't understand your obsession with Bowser. Even if he had a taller hitbox, that would just be easier to collect coins in the air (like RRM, MG or LM for example), but I don't see why you think it would be faster unless it's possible to grab more coins with him. And considering his hitbox has the same width as Wario's, it should not change anything for the coins which are on the ground.
